Why is Monster misunderstood? Many of us consider it the best, donā€™t worry, Luca Reed. In the end, though, a few days ago I finally got Around The Sun, and I must say I find it quite pleasant. At least Stipe's voice is at its best. I'm not complaining too much, come on, Nick, I think you've been too harsh. I've been following R.E.M. for a very long time - 1984, urgh... - and they haven't really disappointed me yet. Sure, their albums now all sound ā€œbeen there, done that,ā€ but how could it be otherwise: their influence has been felt in a ton of other (too many) albums from other bands over the last twenty years...
