The issue is that Malmsteen always has that underlying setup and all his compositions develop in exactly the same way...

Pietro, Malmsteen doesn't fascinate me. My God, he’s a top player too, with incredible technique and cleanliness, it's just that I’m a bit fed up with neoclassicals; there are too many of them. I prefer the experimentalists who use less alternate picking and more fluidity (like Greg Howe, although sometimes he also plays neoclassical stuff) or leaning more towards bluegrass (like Steve Morse). I'm not a big fan of bluesmen like Scott Henderson, although I like him a lot when he plays Jazz. Actually, I have about a hundred albums of soloists; it’s difficult for me to list them all accurately.

True, Melon is unique, well done, you've caught the essence, hats off to you. If you don't hear them in "Hosannah," though, it's not my fault; it means you've listened to them too little.

Yeah, great album. Too bad the following "peasants, pigs & astronauts" is awful. Anyway, the version with Hush is the reissue because that recording is from 1997 while k is from 1996.

Does iko set a precedent? It's all to be proven... I still believe that the guy was referring to the Living Colour live show for the biblical quote, Vai's live for the Still-Pause, and Primus's Pork Soda for the story of hitting someone.
