Mark Knopfler Privateering

At first glance, the album leaves a good impression, and it was obvious that Mr. Knopfler would never put a low-quality product on the market. Personally, I will dedicate a bit more listening to it, and perhaps my rating of the album might change. Well done, Bloody.

A beautiful review that teases a re-listening of another great album in the history of music.

When U2 (like many other high-profile names) are being reviewed, one must consider that criticism will not be long in coming. If we add to this the fact that the album in question is "Achtung Baby" (which in the German edition was sold with a condom attached), unfortunately, the road to interaction becomes quite difficult.
I have appreciated U2 since their beginnings, though I do not agree with everything, and I have always admired the band's desire for change, given that they themselves have taken risks on their own skin. Perhaps the problem is that for many, the will to change is interpreted as base commercialism, but in the case of U2, I do not believe this was the case, considering that "Achtung Baby" (an album in which a very peculiar production plays a significantly influential role) does indeed represent a break from the past. I believe that anyone who listens to it for the first time and without knowing the artists will easily identify the sounds of the four Irishmen.
Regarding the topic of "duplicate reviews," I think the editors' guidelines, which give full freedom to writers to comment again on a work that has already been discussed, perhaps supplementing it with news and interpretations different from what is already available on our beloved site, represent a fair prompt.

What you wrote encourages one to go listen to the album. Perhaps the numbers from Metal Shock (in 2002) were back issues? Best regards.

An album worthy of note, just like the words you've used to describe it. Perhaps next time the text will flow more smoothly.

A record that won't shock anyone, but is easy to listen to.

A record that is worth the score you've given it, with suitable justification.

As for Duran Duran, I can say that - despite the criticisms they had to endure in their early days - they released some valid albums ("Notorious" or "Ordinary World"), as well as some products that weren't exactly of the highest quality ("Liberty" or "Medazzaland"). They certainly made history with that masterpiece called "Rio," with its elegant summer atmosphere, the pleasant succession of successful songs in "Seven And The Ragged Tiger," and the definitive explosion of the live album "Arena," which contained the hit single "Wild Boys." The discographic chapters like "Astronaut" and "All You Need Is Now" turned out to be more than decent products, despite the passing of time. Well done, Gigi... however, even if - from the words you've written - a lot of affection for the band shines through.

Superb album, and then love acts are not up for discussion...(and now the provocation)...like a dear friend of mine who is a cellerino (though I think it’s spelled with one "l," but maybe an extra "l" slipped in - who also listens to prog).
