Great review, although I won't hide the fact that I really like the album and pull it out quite often. Obviously, I'm not very pro-Gabriel, but what can you do?

I knew that "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" is not an easy album to evaluate. I notice among the comments a certain balancing act between those who hold it in low regard and those who lean towards appreciation. As with all "controversies," the truth is always in the middle, which has led me to consider this album based on a multitude of factors ranging from the band's history to the musicians' personal circumstances, not to mention the period during which it hit the shelves.
Honestly, I don’t believe that the Floyd led by Gilmour were at all reprehensible, but undoubtedly their thirteenth studio work certainly represented for many loyal fans and newcomers to the band, the opportunity to savor music that has left its mark in one of the most spectacular live acts that any rock music enthusiast can remember. Is that not enough?
Let’s hope not.
