Thank you all (even to those who don’t agree with what I say or how...). Among the best trio albums, I would definitely include "My Foolish Heart," just released but recorded in 2001, featuring a rhythm section in a form that, in my opinion, is perhaps unprecedented, along with Jarrett's sublime reinterpretation of three ragtime pieces... Now, on the subject: relegating KJ's best form to the past is, in my opinion, quite a trivial mistake and typical of a, how shall I put it, "generational" instinct: in the last decade, KJ's splendid albums, both solo and in trio, are certainly not few. Kisses (true: thighs and bagascie... but not as you mean... I meant, in dialect, cossie and bagassie...: I will correct it for my blog. Arrivederci).

Listen, well... obviously you are completely convinced of your ideas (lucky you... but maybe I was like that too at twenty...), so let's conclude it in an Aristotelian way: "doing military service" is for fools, anyone who finds it beautiful is a fool, and anyone who enjoys playing it with friends even more so...; I find it beautiful and I've played it a thousand times, having fun. I am a fool. A happy fool. Happy and in great company. I believe we've found a synthesis that satisfies us both (for different reasons, but who cares... right?). Kisses

@iside: unfortunately, total but respectful disagreement. Elvis was a great artist and a tremendous product. The fact that for you, as for many, the two things cannot coexist is the effect of the "protective niche syndrome," the one that makes you feel good, reassured, and gives you the right to get angry at the masses, always ugly and mean, and that makes you say crazy things like that Marlene's albums are better (perhaps even more important?) than Vasco's early works. Well... it doesn’t matter, everyone thinks as they wish, but I believe we should be careful not to conflate everything and deny undeniable historical importance to make space for niche artists, incredibly self-conscious and all too often cloning, who unfortunately sometimes resemble us so much (not me anymore... maybe once...). Anyway and always: kisses, and with no hard feelings.

@trickykid: well done. Alright. "And you could also eat strawberries," a splendid line from a beautiful song, takes on a special meaning for those who, as kids in the seventies, were among the last, generationally, to steal incredibly tasty strawberries from the garden of an old lady armed with a shotgun. Of course...: for those who weren't even there in the seventies and think strawberries are made at the Hyper...it's obvious that something is lost (besides the usual farts, of course). Kisses PS: marlene...after...and we’re always back there: either dead (Gaetano, etc...) or alleged niche geniuses...guys, do you realize how mundane you are? I challenge ostracism, but I say "long live the market" that gave us Elvis, that gave us the Boss and Dylan. Catch you later.

Why not? The basic characteristics are all there for it to carry the name (perhaps more than for the Nomads after Augustus... right?)

The first two from La Liga were beautiful and original to me (albeit with an obvious mix of inspiration... like everyone...). Then business prevailed, as always... Kisses

@sacerdocio: few words but completely shareable. I too basically think this way (and I'm also rushing to work... but we'll need to discuss it more extensively...). Kisses
