And what do we say about yesterday's concert....? (redigenda recensio...if they let me breathe in the office...)

Dear Tom, it’s true, it’s beautiful, but there is also an embarrassing lack of ideas there (even though the Prof always writes very well...). By now, the singer-songwriters are just turning things over, and I say this with a heavy heart...

he perfectly imitates Conte (Copacabana, from a recent live performance, is beautiful...) but above all, he is Dorelli's clone...

I’m telling you this because I’m re-evaluating many youthful positions, caught up in this wonderful senile oblivion (characterized by no less severity, but certainly less snobbery...: to give you a jazz example, for me back then jazz was Coltrane. Now it’s still Coltrane, but above all Armstrong)...

It's a record of mastery from an excellent craftsman. For me. (but a craftsman who has managed to be a genius)

Punisher, usually we're not too far apart... when did you see him last? If it's been a while and you were perhaps younger, give it another shot. It's definitely remarkable for me.

errata corrige: one thinks of "portraits" and says "freudianly" "roots"... pardon (let's be clear...)

Thank you all. The discussion I wanted (and feared... or maybe not...) is coming out. I believe that a similar discussion would emerge for many of the lesser-known Allens. I think (always thinking about it in a Fellini way) that essentially his films are one single, long, and beautiful film.

truly beautiful album, in my personal ranking (and I’m a connoisseur, those who read me know...) it is the last entirely "great" album from Guccio. After this there will be also excellent works (if only others could make "modest" albums like Radici...) but never completely successful. Here everything still runs perfectly. Gorgeous review, thorough, well-written. The discussion to delve into would be about singer-songwriter culture today (or, better, the meaning of being a singer-songwriter today...). Kisses

Bollani is amazing. In my opinion, he's currently the best in Italy along with Pieranunzi. That said, and loving many of his albums to bits, I've always found this record to be a "minor" work, but it's probably a highly subjective matter of taste. Kisses
