For me (I also wrote it in the review for Elegia) Conte is always wonderfully the same as himself, at the highest levels, but I must admit that this album and Un Gelato Al Limon... or rather the two with which I got to know him, back then..., definitely enjoy a particular fondness. Everything here is perfect: music, lyrics, atmospheres...

voiceface...you got very close, but I'll replace “hermeneutics” with “eagles don’t fly in flocks,” which I consider a complete nonsense unworthy of its author, musically very ugly and extremely banal in the lyrics (the same things said better would have found me in agreement too...but it’s just an unhappy lyric...)

I understand...: it was quite an effort for me too... But I assure you, the guy is good and works very well. In short, is it better to have the original Genesis with someone else, or the old hits of Queen with Rodgers or the Doors with Astbury...? I repeat: a work that can be debated, but not useless. Nor ugly.

I also think he has pissed outside the bowl a few times, but I don’t believe everyone should subscribe to the pee he sees, punisher...: for me, for example, Genesis and Gilgamesh were steps longer than their leg, and Dieci Stratagemmi has three nice pieces, while the rest is just irritating presumption. I do, however, like Ferro Battuto, even though I don’t consider it a masterpiece. Eccelsa L'Imboscata, and between the two, I prefer Gommalacca. But I know this isn’t a shared opinion around here, just as the belief that FB from '78 to '83 was the absolute best isn’t shared. Amen, the world is beautiful because it’s diverse...

Nice album but neither the most innovative (which for me remains Achtung...) nor obviously the most beautiful (which for me remains Jhosua...). Anyway, it was quite fashionable to speak ill of it, and this series of mostly positive judgments is pleasant. More of a mood album than one of true compositional value, for me.

Aside from the anonymous ramblings of the anonymous, I must say I feel a bit of sadness in thinking that now Reality (which I do not despise) takes the place of potential sequels to Outside. But hope is the last to die... and he, I reiterate, is a genius and will remain a genius.
