ilovemusic, you lovely clown, just to let you know, I usually watch debaser from work, where the record, unfortunately, isn't among those at hand. I know Trane very well; sometimes it happens to get confused, and not just with Trane. There are saxophonists who make an alto sound like a tenor... did you know...? Anyway, if you love music and this site so much, why don’t you sign up...? Or are you already signed up and making a big noise as a ghost under another name because you're a coward...?
Anyway, in response to the kind ones: I just listened again, at home, and I confirm it's a tenor. mea culpa mea culpa mea maxima culpa: I will refresh my memory (and to think I even play the sax...).

good job cece (as always): Vecchioni (who sometimes can be infuriating) at least gives us a couple of gems in all his albums, including the latest ones...sure...: during this period, he was truly a great talent. there’s a faint sense of perpetual underestimation around him as well...

A record highly criticized by many, but for me it's beautiful. Trane is in a state of reverential fear in front of the Maestro and respects the themes like the best of students. Truly a beautiful record, where even the re-evaluated (and it's about time) pianism of the Duke makes its mark with great wisdom. Just a tiny note: in the wonderful (a notch above the others) "in a sentimental mood," Trane plays the soprano, not the tenor, or at least that's how it seems to me... but I will go check. He had such a strange timbre that sometimes it's easy to get confused.

let's not just wait for better times! let's listen to it, give it away, talk about it positively. it deserves it.

help...here we have to witness the first signs of the "enta" syndrome (meaning thirty...obviously...). Guys...: this album, like the entire Pezzalian work, sucks and has done more damage to Italian music than the entire works of Ricchi e Poveri, Cutugno, Annalisa Minetti, Alessandro Baldi, Laura Pausini, Eros Ramazzotti, and Raf combined, multiplied by a thousand.

I remind you that after this album (even long after) they released ballad gems like "ordinary world" and "someone else not me"... really beautiful.

Well done, Cece! And don’t forget that "e penso a te," "l'aquila," "un uomo che ti ama," Lucio gave them to Him first to sing them himself, producing and playing like the best of kids, and "amore caro amore bello" he gave to him without ever interpreting it (except for some bootleg recordings that, obviously, don’t count...). The same can be said for "Genova per noi" and "Onda su onda" by Conte, and even for "Naviganti" by Fossati (much more recently). Not to mention the songs that are truly his, songwriter-like and beautiful, such as "Margherita" or "L'ufficio in riva al mare." For those who love singer-songwriter music, an imperative is: re-evaluate Lauzi.

Glad about the agreement, also because I've noticed that champions of songwriting are quite few around here... and we need to team up... Cheers!

The Durans were a tremendous quality pop phenomenon, regardless of what people say. The official critics, many of whom - even here - are mentally enslaved, will never admit it, but they were, and still are, good. Beautiful records...? almost all of them, even the ones in two, comparable, many years later, to the microadventure of the Arcadia. If one believes in the possible quality of pop, one must acknowledge that both Save A Prayer and Do You Believe In Shame are great tracks.
