David Gilmour Live In Piazza San Marco - Venezia - 12/08/06
Voto:
beautiful...even if objectively we are risking an overdose here...not of Gilmour, for goodness' sake (there can never be enough of that) but of the latest album/latest tour reviews. I would suggest something (to the wind): if we share the observations of another review, why not settle for that and perhaps contribute to it...and commit to uncovering something that hasn't been beaten to death yet...? (I'm expecting a tsunami of insults)

At 18, I believed that Coltrane was a god and I didn’t understand the greatness of Armstrong. So the Genesis were only those of Gabriel, Syd Barrett an absolute genius, Morrison thank goodness he died and so on/bang.... guys, do listen to an older guy if you can: don’t take yourselves so seriously, don’t confuse simplicity with banality and understand, in an age of eternal adolescence, that the bohemian phase ends. sooner or later. always.

Unfortunately, I don't know the album (I'll fix that...!) but I've always considered dinkin in LA to be by far the best track of the (quite modest...) '90s...

I mostly agree with VivaLì... The masterpieces of Genesis are different: this is a very interesting album, a true representation of an era and a way of conceiving the "live" experience. Rece is too in love (but for that, you're not to be condemned, least of all by me, who venerates my musical idols with daily crazy prayers...). In any case, while it may not be unmissable to the point of being "crazy," it certainly ranks among the essential live albums.

Thank you for the message that brings so much joy to my heart!
Alex Britti Festa

Britti is an unparalleled fool with no compositional talent; he can go to Costanzo as much as he wants, that's his place…
Enzo Jannacci Quelli Che...
Voto:
The shame continues unabated: Jannacci's usual tracks on CD, nothing more, even after a very last visit of foreign negotiations in the city...

a demented character making demented music. I hope that "babybirba" is a prank by those pranksters from Debaser...
The Rolling Stones Stripped

a bit too brief as a review...: this truly excellent work by the Stones deserved a few more words and some additional details, being, for many reasons, a rather important piece. Of course, it is the best work in a while in terms of live performances and compilations (I agree on this). However, the statement doesn't make sense overall, since a compilation of old hits, no matter how superbly played, cannot be compared to the (only two) subsequent studio albums (the last of which, in my opinion, is really excellent: if you want, read my review). Anyway, it's an album that deserved recognition.

I saw him at the Arcimboldi in Milan (my review is there too). It’s beautiful to see a guy (who got to know them through the modest and "conclusive," albeit beautiful, "Division Bell") who dedicates himself heart and soul to the Pink Floyd, with sincerity, with love, without any reverence. Just like all young people should do...! The dedication was beautiful and heartfelt. Well done, keep it up and apply that open-mindedness you have to other things as well (but it's likely that you already do; otherwise... of course, start with my reviews!!!). Best wishes!
