Lucio Battisti Il tempo di morire

Latin soul, when none of us were doing things—not even remotely—like that, the electronic turning point of E Già, when none of us were doing things—not even remotely—like that, the Panellian turning point, when none of us were doing things—not even remotely—like that. And, as you can see, I didn't even mention one of the "hits." Then the choice not to do either the highly profitable concerts or the worst television appearances. Then the choice, from being incredibly famous and best-selling, to conceive the audacious project of Panella, freely opting for non-success and the niche (the others usually let someone else choose the niche…). Isn't that enough for you? Kisses.

Well, Gustavo, I was also amazed by the supposed overvaluation of Battisti... I fear that to think such a thing, one must fundamentally know little about the history of Italian music: Battisti is, for us, a small Dylan, in the sense that he has turned the page, making school at least three times, producing material that until that moment was absolutely unheard of because it didn't exist... I believe this can have the marks of objectivity... the rest, of course, are opinions... one may not like Dylan, but one cannot deny his role, defining him, without trial, as overrated... otherwise, those who support the notion of overvaluation should explain themselves... kisses

you grow old, baroque, and botulinic... what a pity... the idea wasn’t bad, even if the so heterogeneous guests betray an unbearable straitalico love for each other... anyway, we’ll talk about it... kisses

I enjoy the interventions... I find it curious how many of you, probably fewer than thirty, are not ontologically battistian as we all are... a national monument that falls...? another one...? who knows.... anyway, all very interesting interventions. Kisses

Thanks everyone: a few answers according to the usual rambling scheme. 800...? Maybe! Just wait there, as I still have Buscaglione and the supreme Modugno waiting... and then Tenco, still Paoli... there are so many statues I love, you know that... The first chords? I guarantee you that for my generation (splendid 40-year-olds) the first two harmonic cycles were "la canzone del sole" and "il tempo di morire" (and where do we put Bennato's "mangiafuoco"?)... But, you know, back in those days I was a little sparrow in the parish... so there was songwriter culture in abundance, bonfires, chestnut festivals, and spiritual retreats... Imbarazzante, indeed, is a sublime typo... and I will leave it... Kisses to all (www.ugualepertutti.com)

@ofemb: I believe it's the true third secret of Fatima... @iside: I completely agree.

True, I enjoyed it.. but that's exactly the point: take the best songs from Cambio onwards (I also save Bella from Cambio), selecting with a bit of rigor, and you'll probably end up with an album truly worthy of the golden years... maybe two... certainly not the ten that he must have made...

yes...the opposite of me...in my opinion the lowest point of his career...(and anyway, even if it weren't the lowest, we would still be looking at a clear comeback...all things considered, this last one is the best since Cambio, along with Henna)

@miramar: "luna matana" is always better than the penultimate one (what was it called...? terrible...)... anyway you’re right: "Henna" was beautiful, definitely better than "cambio."
