I liked Supposed Truths. I don't know about this one, and this kind of review hasn't shed any light or clarified anything for me. Would someone like to write another one?

I don't live in Naples, but I've been there 3 or 4 times in the past (for a maximum of 15 days). I agree. It's a beautiful city full of life, warmth, and heated passion. Sometimes it can be just a bit excessive in everything. What really gets on my nerves is this warmth that feels like a "sceneggiata" thrown into everything: it’s either a tragedy or a farce, with no middle ground, and in the end, it can feel a bit suffocating (at least for me). But forgive me one thing: it’s not really the case to take too seriously the little stories I write, for heaven’s sake. Otherwise, I should have been in jail for months... :-))

I leave the meter to poets and those who write real songs. Someone who scribbles nonsense, silly jokes, and unpretentious little ideas, like me, can easily do without it for these reasons: A) because it will never be sung by anyone B) because it has no application or development outside of this site C) because in 2 days it will be forgotten like the others D) because it takes courage to take a "song" like this seriously; but can you imagine me keeping up with rhymes and meters WITH ALL THE TIME I already take away from other things in life? E) It only serves as a basic idea, then if someone wants to rewrite it in precise meter (and maybe submit it directly to Povia) they are free to do so: I’ll even give them the copyright! :-)

He he, you would like that, wouldn’t you? A bunch of anonymous cowards and petty braggarts. Outside of the scene is Francesco, the positive one, the true reviewer, the one who recommended the nice things and wrote elegantly with fancy words. I, on the other hand, will stay here, crafting my reviews and ramblings for as long as I please... he he :-))

I didn't say it's not great: I'm saying that afterwards he did MORE ORIGINAL and even greater things, highlighting and outlining a research and a style that made him UNIQUE. If he had stopped after the first 3 albums, he would have been just a good crooner, good among many, but the real leap came after.

(I rated the album NOT because I bought it but because I listened to it online, just to be clear)

Yes, beautiful, nice, smooth, pleasant, the prince is back, sounds good, whatever you want, but round and round, De Gregori is always the same, cute like something that, whether it exists or not, changes nothing. Maybe something will change since it won't be there anymore. Sorry, but I wouldn't spend 20 euros for this album even if I were dead.

maybe I prefer "the Egg" as a springboard to this. De gustibus...

I don't really believe in "limited editions"... it's all marketing, my friend, PURE and SIMPLE MARKETING... give it 3 or 4 months and, if it SELLS, they'll come out with another cover (if we're lucky) of the same album... it's always been like that, except for a few rare cases.
