LA RECENSIONE

It is a collection of hits, which in addition to re-presenting already well-known songs such as "La Sedia Di Lillà", "Il Duomo Di Notte", "Qui La Luna", "La Grande Grotta", "Fragole Infinite", "Settembre" and "La Nena Del Salvador", offers us 4 unreleased tracks. But let's go in order. As previously mentioned, most of the tracks are very well-known, so I won't be discussing those in this review. I'll start by mentioning the titles of the 4 unreleased songs: "Cercherò Di Te", "La Splendita Metà", "Saprai" and "Sexy Love".

The Greatest Hits in question also offers a commendable inside booklet, with the lyrics of all the songs and a comment by Alberto on each of them. Here are a few examples: comment on "Milano e Vincenzo" "I recently worked with Vincenzo's son: everyone in the family is doing well.", comment on "La Grande Grotta" "It's the name of my room, an idea that came when I lived with Roxy.", comment on "Settembre" "The grape harvests done in my mother's village, when the sun grants its revelations, the grapes crushed while dancing, the joy, the freedom, the departure.", comment on "Fragole Infinite" "Dedicated to John Lennon, sung in studio 2 of Abbey Road Studios in London, the Beatles' favorite studio, with a tube microphone used for Strawberry Fields. In the string quartet of Fragole Infinite, convened by Sir George Martin, the viola and the first violin played in Sgt. Pepper... For me, these are great satisfactions."

In short, something that no self-respecting fan should be without! This CD could serve as a springboard into the salty, yet sweet musical sea of the Milanese singer-songwriter.
