It's strange, Laputa is probably my favorite for the opposite reason :D

I don't think Tarantino is interested in resurrecting themes and styles of authors who, while great, have little in common with his interests.

terrible last sentence. And Tarantino is right to reevaluate Fulci & co.; if we had directors of this level nowadays, Italian cinema would be less crap. This film is ugly.

But among all those who criticize this film, how many have actually watched it seriously from beginning to end? I'm throwing it out there, no more than 50%, in my opinion.

I definitely prefer NBC to this (especially when it comes to movies), but we're still at high levels anyway.

Dear anonymous, read carefully what I wrote. It would be unthinkable for me to defend Poletti; it’s you who, with reviews of this level, give him credibility. Wake up.

The comical thing about this page isn't the review itself, which is chilling, but the comments. Here, there's a crusade against everything that dates back more than 30 years, and especially a crusade against Poletti. The result is that the crusaders come off looking ridiculous, while Poletti walks away with his head held high as one of the few who wrote something sensible. This film doesn't have to be liked by everyone; it's not a genre that appeals to everyone, etc., but starting to criticize its technical aspects and characters is pure madness, not to mention the language you're using, which is stuff for a literary case study. Reviewer and assorted commentators, the only effect of your spite has been to truly make Poletti come across as the all-knowing professor.
