'Filthy orca that splashes... let's take it step by step. The films I mentioned, without chronological or aesthetic order or anything else, are films that are WATCHABLE, ones I would gladly rewatch. Crash isn't all that beautiful, nor is M. Butterfly, and just like Cosmopolis, it's been panned by critics, appreciated only by a niche of dedicated fans of the director. Good for them. Since '99, there hasn't been any blood? What the hell are you saying? That it was History of Violence? But then, to define this film as anti-commercial when the protagonist was chosen to attract CROWDS from the mainstream audience—what are you talking about? If he wanted an actor who could carry the film well, he would have cast a TRUE actor as the lead, not a stiff, expressionless one. And if you tell me it's the role that demands it, I'd agree for the first 30 minutes, but there's no justification for the protagonist's continued inability to hold the film even towards the end, when the "perfection" has long since faded. Not coincidentally, Giamatti enters the scene and the puppet disappears, blending in with the carpet. That the book is material that is anything but commercial is beyond doubt, but I already said earlier that I don't understand what on earth could have made him believe it was decent material for a visual art form like cinema. My judgment... coincidentally aligns with that of the audience and critics; maybe it's because I'm "mainstream," or perhaps it's that some people consider every piece of crap from their idol to be chocolate.'

I dodged it by a hair, but I’ve been told it's awful. Anyway, the premise was enough, and the queen is 10 times sexier than Snow White, the movie fails even before it starts.

bland claustrophobic drama, expressionless protagonist, only Giamatti saves it. What the hell was Cronenberg thinking to believe that this book could make a watchable film...

Back then, there was only Vice City for me (which, by the way, is my favorite of the GTA series; among the settings, music, dialogues, and missions, in my opinion, it’s the best), this I remember from hearsay.

The "old" trilogy for me was barely watchable, Maguire has never been my favorite, and the third chapter was stuff that made you want to tear your eyes out... this reboot hits the mark instead; the character no longer appears to be just dumb but only dramatically unlucky (which is, in fact, what Spiderman is), while it becomes clear how brilliant he actually is (a nuance that Maguire NEVER conveyed). The only "flaw" is the underlying teen-drama, where the old films aimed for a more mature approach but failed miserably, yet it is still bearable. Easily the best film about the character.

I love these comments where people compete over how little they play; every page of the "nervose" is filled with them.
