Noi Siamo Il Club is the latest work by Club Dogo. The album was preceded by the singles "Cattivi esempi" "Chissenefrega" and "Noi siamo il club", but let's now move on to examine the album track by track.
"Meno felici ma piu furbi" Carlo Lucarelli's voice introduces us to the Dogo album with a reflection on the bad examples of this country, saying what they have given us and what they have taken away.
"Cattivi esempi" in this track, Jake and Guè talk about what is happening today in Italy with good verses from both and a funny chorus that pokes fun at various films and cartoons.
"Chissenefrega(in discoteca)" this is definitely the worst track on the album... banal rhymes and a text without content, a chorus sung by a female voice which I find very annoying, and this time there isn't even the usual beat from Don to save the result.
"Noi siamo il club" the title-track is another purely self-celebratory piece, but unlike the previous one, I can give it a pass due to Don Joe's great beat and Marra's excellent verse.
"Niente è impossibile" finally a nice serious track in Dogo style, and as you can guess from the title, it talks about taking nothing for granted and trying to achieve your dreams. The very lively beat and the chorus sung by Zuli give a reggae touch to the album.
"Erba del diavolo" another club track introduced by Datura's little voice. This time it talks about being in the privé smoking weed and self-celebration. I generally like the piece, but there's better later on.
"Ciao ciao" it talks about long-distance love and the difficulties in maintaining it. Very catchy beat and good verses from both Jake and Guè. Approved.
"Ragazzo della piazza" here the guys talk about being boys from the square and how success hasn't changed them. Very nice text, never banal rhymes, and a frightening flow make it one of the standout tracks on the album. Good performance also from Ensi, who keeps up with two monsters of Italian rap.
"Sangue Blu" beat that tends to rock, and it could not be otherwise given the presence of Ax. The piece talks about not having "Blue Blood," that is, having gotten there solely thanks to themselves and not because of recommendations or external help.
"P.E.S." Carefree song talking about smoking weed and playing PES with friends. Very lively beat that grabs you immediately, and the chorus sung by Giuliano Palma is very pleasant. Perfect as a background for evenings playing in company.
"Tutto cio che ho" is a song dedicated to their fans, and how it feels when you only have one song left to lift you up. Jake and Guè sing by talking about themselves in the third person because they put themselves in their fans' shoes, the first in a boy who lost his job and would like to start writing, and the second not doing well at school and breaking his ligaments loses the only thing he has, that is soccer. Beautiful chorus sung by Il Cile.
"Se non mi trovi" beat and lyrics very melancholic, as well as the chorus by Emiliano Pepe. It talks about what could happen if they were to disappear forever.
"Collassato" talks about when you collapse at the club due to alcohol and how you feel the day after. Excellent verse from Jake that maximizes the idea of how you feel in these occasions.
"La fine del mondo" electronic beat and chorus sung by the female voice of Power Fances. The song is pleasant and talks about spending the last night having fun instead of despairing.
"Se tu fossi me" they decided to keep the best for last because this is the most beautiful song of the album. The text tells about feeling alien in this land; Jake and Guè strip off the rapper persona and ask what would you do if they were normal people without rap and without cash. The way they tell about their fears and emotions is very reminiscent of "La stanza dei fantasmi".
In general, I liked the album. The Dogo have certainly done better, but this album is not to be thrown away, it is very self-reflective, and there are tracks that move you... the only flaw is perhaps a little too much self-celebration that has been accompanying the Dogo for a few years now.

"Club Dogo is a bit like Marv... the individual who must act alone to go against power."
"'Chissenefrega (In discoteca)' is the keystone of the album, a watershed between reality's harshness and the comfort of the club as a social nest."
