Ironic, witty, clumsy, and, if I may say so, excessively handsome: these are the characteristics of the new Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield seems to fit the role much better than Tobey Maguire. Peter Parker is still a nerd, but he’s a carefree nerd. This time he is much more like a "normal teenager" and thus much closer to the audience. Definitely much less boring and more intriguing and engaging than the Parker played by the previous actor.

Besides Andrew Garfield, the rest of the cast is also spot-on: Emma Stone does very well as Gwen Stacy (in contrast to the bland performance by Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane in the earlier Spider-Man movies), Rhys Ifans is particularly suitable for Lizard (I find this actor perfect for playing the villain; the psychotic expression is fantastic), and Denis Leary knows how to portray George Stacy, a strict cop with a closed mindset at first who turns out to be a hero in the end.

Great special effects, excellent recreation, excellent adaptation "to current days".

The only flaw: little importance is given to the reasons that lead Dr. Connors to transform into Lizard and also to the story of Peter Parker's parents themselves. But maybe the latter will be better highlighted in future "episodes."

Finally, even Spider-Man manages to be funny at times. And combining humor with action scenes results in a film that manages to keep the viewer's attention alive and constant.

For those watching the film, it's easier to identify with this version of Peter Parker's character than with previous ones.

As for the rest, I find it unnecessary to reiterate the plot, which is obviously simplified compared to the comic, particularly regarding Gwen.

Fun and engaging.

And the girls in the audience will appreciate the lead actor. Incredibly charismatic.

"Does what you can do scare you?" "No".
