Korn Greatest Hits Vol.1
Voto:
you're a poor thing, and that won't change with age. The greatest hits have no reason to exist, but the first two albums by Korn are masterpieces of the genre.
Andrew Stanton Wall-E

I’m going to see it this weekend and I remain confident; for me, Ratatouille and The Incredibles are absolute masterpieces. Given the criticism around Wall-E, I doubt I will be disappointed.
James O'Barr Il Corvo (The Crow)

Sin City is a great adaptation, but not necessarily a great film for those who don't know/appreciate the comic. I've already shared my thoughts on the reviews regarding this anyway; tie-ins inspired by comics are abundant lately, but the good ones can still be counted on one hand. And for me, The Crow by Proyas is one of those.

Personally, I would have avoided comparing it to the movie, since it's a review of the comic and not the other way around. I don't see the reason to poke at what remains one of the best film adaptations of a comic ever seen. The whole discourse about emos is quite funny considering it's all a bunch of nonsense; Tim Burton is in no way responsible, and the supposed trend certainly didn't develop before the new millennium. There's no way you can tell me that Proyas's film holds social responsibilities, not even close. People are stupid on their own, period. The review does its job.

Amy Winehouse Back To Black
Voto:
four quick thoughts... 1- Amy Winehouse has a good voice, it definitely touches certain chords but nothing superior to some of her equivalent peers (someone mentioned Aguilera, right). 2- Amy Winehouse is a drug addict, and it doesn't matter whether it's coke, alcohol, or the chemicals she takes, if she looks the way she does, meaning 10 years older than her age, it's because heroin leaves a mark. And it doesn't seem cool to be a junkie at all. 3- Amy Winehouse is not hot. Let's be clear, she’s going downhill with mediocrity; at least 50% of the girls you meet on the street are much better. If we compare her to her peers, she really disappears. 4- Her music is neither revolutionary nor qualitatively astounding, but since there are definitely worse artists in this world who are more successful, it probably isn't fair to bury her under a mountain of crap.

Beautiful... I miss the record, right now I'm not really into ambient but I’ll put it on the list.

it wasn't that bad, some tracks were and still are good and original, in a context like the one it was released in, it was a breath of fresh air for the genre
