amarcord: I still remember a beautiful record store in Afragola, run by a fantastic couple. An old friend took me there (I’m talking about at least 14 years ago...). They were the ones who recommended my first albums... I bought my first two original cassettes there, Vitalogy by Pearl Jam and Pink Moon by Drake, each costing ten thousand lire... After a few years, the store disappeared along with the two people, and I never got the chance to thank them for opening the doors to emotional softs. Then one day, while I was wandering around the IPERCOOP (still in Afragola) among couples taking their Sunday strolls in their nice clothes while licking ice cream (great! couples strolling around the Ipercoop on Sundays for some intimate time...!), I passed by the record store in the mall and what did I see? The two had been hired as cashiers. I approached them, and finally had the chance to repay the favor: I advised them to run away. Sorry for the silly post, but for us Neapolitans from the golden age (which began in the '90s), these are beautiful things that we don’t forget, we carry them with us like scars...

Has it been replaced by a tanning salon?

By the way, for a group like Minor Threat, so eager to expand into the Neapolitan hinterland, life is really tough; it seems that all the neomelodics love the letter M (it must be a tribute to Fritz Lang's cinema): Miraggio Franco, Moreno Franco, Merola Mario, Mauro Pino, Mauro Caputo, Mario Trevi, my favorite Mimmi Taurino... a legend... I remember them all... what a inhuman childhood.
