Dear Stefano, honor to you for loving R.E.M., in my opinion the best mainstream band in the world. I followed them passionately up until 'Up', and imagine I started with Document, 1987, when I was 11 years old. The classic youthful love. I don't listen to them anymore, and this is part of the great unresolved issues of each of us (the last time was a month ago, I played 'Nightswimming,' which is heart-wrenching every time). Maybe it's because I've become a sort of new music maniac at all costs, or maybe they're just so good at making me foolish with their next big things that drive me nuts. In any case, when I look at my 35 R.E.M. CDs resting in one of the 3 special display cases in my room, I like to imagine that Michael is there, and that he already knows everything I wish he knew. Sorry for this sappy sidetrack.. :)
