THE REVIEW

This is the second album by Norah Jones, the girl who sold 17 million copies with her debut, "Come Away with Me." I was quite hesitant before buying it, mainly because the genre is completely different from what I usually listen to, and I have to admit that at first, it kind of annoyed me. But after a few more listens, I really started to like it, until it completely won me over: Norah sings like a dream (and she's not bad-looking either), the arrangements are excellent, and the tracks all have a beautiful, elegant, and nocturnal charm. Most of them are ballads with piano and guitar, although there are more lively tracks like Creepin’ In, where Jones duets with Dolly Parton, a country singer. Those Sweet Words, Carnival Town, and Humble Me are also beautiful.

In conclusion: a very beautiful album, excellent for relaxing and breaking the daily grind, although I wouldn’t recommend it to the most die-hard metalheads.
