Hey idiot, I've made you look like a fool 25 times and you're still here talking? What do you say about the fact that I've never come to your dear beautiful polenta city with mom's sandwich? Is Maruzza biting your ass? Too many blunders? Dude, you've aimed at the wrong target with me; you're only going to lose, trust me. Whatever you say, I'm going to make you look like a fool. What? What did you just say? That I need to learn to write? Good. Who are you writing for, my dear Dante? Who are you writing to? I write for 3 English university newspapers, 2 Italian newspapers, and three months ago, the director of Blow Up even contacted me, inspired by the editorials I write for this site. That sounds like a great resume to me, now tell me yours, little Maruzza.

I already write few comments, and then these things come along and make you lose your motivation. Whatever.

And where the hell did this idiot come from? Are you going to work? Why did my unemployment check arrive at your place, you jerk? I must have made a mistake, sorry, spend it all and buy yourself the little guide of class Padanians. Go pick some maruzze, you fool. I’ve been working since I was 17 and I even got two degrees, you idiot. And then you tell me to leave Naples, who the hell told you I live in Naples? Do you think we’re all as stupid as you, who are born, drop shit, and die in the same place? I left at 19, my son, and I assure you I’ve seen things, so shut your trap if you don’t know what you’re talking about. Ah, I almost forgot: Cuneo perfect city, but go pick some maruzze, I repeat. And as for your spelling mistakes: what the hell do you want to compare a comment written in a hurry with a review that you have the chance to check before sending it? Everyone makes typing errors (I repeat: typing) in comments. But what bullshit syntax are you talking about? And I don’t give a damn that you think Naples is crap, and I didn’t even ask you. I commented on a review that seemed to me like a disgusting load of crap, full of misinformation. And now go pick some maruzze.

Communist, me? Well... I would rather define myself as a nostalgic for the Bourbons.

First note (and perhaps the only valid one since you've written very little): Bad Timing is profoundly different from Put the freaks up front; the latter is a grunge song, while Bad Timing seems to start off as something My Bloody Valentine, only to become an autonomous and independent organism. You don’t talk about the other songs, so I will: Pocket revolution is a fantastic album that needs time to be fully appreciated in its genius. It may not reach the heights of The Ideal crash simply because the latter will remain unsurpassed (and after all, that was the impression one had from the first listen six years ago). The two works are very different, the penultimate one much poppier, the latest one more rock-oriented. Twelve songs, all crafted with the same beauty, but they shine with their own light in addition to the already mentioned Bad Timing, a Nothing really ends which for me is the perfect song, and a Sun Ra of great power and effectiveness, which could remind one of the Wcs days with those final cries. If they had all been placed together at the beginning of the album, one would have been exhausted by the fourth song. Fortunately, they’ve spread them out at the beginning and the end, and in between, they've put everything. It will grow even more, that’s a safe bet.

Idlewild Warning/Promises

Well, Francis! I was pleased to read about Idlewild. I'll give them a 3. It's a good album, all things considered. Of course, for someone like me (and you) who has known them since their almost punk beginnings, the disappointment is strong. They wanted to be R.E.M., but they’ll never succeed; it’s much better if they continue to channel the Pixies with even more ferocity, as they used to ("Hope is Important" is an album that had a huge impact on me). I agree on the overproduction of the single "Love Steals..." being truly excessive and then placed at the opening, my god... I don't share your view on the best of the lot, which for me sees "Too Long Awake" at the top. Best!

Wow, I just saw it reviewed right now, and even before you... what a coincidence :)

when I'm in debt with the world, punk makes me feel good; the Dead Kennedys make me feel even better if I really have to play something to lift my spirits. It's a subjective matter, after all, you could scold me the same way with progressive, which I find extremely hard to digest (and I've tried a thousand times, I know them all and I hate them equally). Perhaps the only criticism you can make is that you should have taken inspiration from an album like that, and things would have seemed different. Get a grip, man: a beautiful 2-disc anthology with about fifty songs by the Ramones has come out, I find it very cool :).
