So, first: I have never liked the Feeder, in fact. Second: the initial comparison with Radiohead is somewhat misplaced; there really is nothing that unites these two bands, not even on an emotional level as you pointed out. Third: this album is a nice album, I admit it too: let's say 3, alright. But this is regardless of the drummer's death, which is a human tragedy, but it can't be that out of the 40 reviews I've read about this record (because I repeat: it’s a good album) all say more or less the same things. The review is very nice, anyway.

different sensitivity. it definitely won’t change the history of music, but I’ve always found it a pleasant listen... it’s a nice record, come on, you’re being too harsh. it gives me a feeling of softness... I really liked the first album, this one needed time but in the end it’s a nice record for me, even more than the first, and I’ve written that in other reviews as well. it’s always nice to defend it. let’s say 4, alright.
