THE REVIEW

Sitting by the sea, oblivious to the waves soaking your clothes, closing your eyes, listening to the roar of the crashing waves on the rocks "Last Secret Of The Sea" "Granules of salt on your skin, wide open skies. Listen! The waves flap their wings, ghost ships and tides. I’ll dive to find your treasure to keep it safe with me. Love, our pleasure, the last secret of the sea…”

A romantic album "Nothing So Bad", very beautiful to listen to, a pleasant fusion of pop sound with splashes of cool jazz, without distorting its nature.

The soft voice, the warmth of the brass instruments, the melody of the violins, the rhythms of the double bass, and the notes of the piano "(Damn These) Hungry Times", practically create a concentration almost "strictly reserved for small pubs", but not necessarily vital for Cousteau, since they also love large events and tides of audiences (especially Italian, to the point of dedicating the translation of the lyrics in the "musical booklet"). Liam’s captivating, skillful, and simple voice avoids confusion and lets itself be carried away by the icy waters of a deep ocean "Peculiarly You" and Davey's lyrics (unrepeatable) are imbued with sweet passion for pleasing palates "Please Don't Cry".

The oceanographer Jacques Cousteau inspired their name, a lover of dolphins and a dreamer of those "Sirens" that enchanted Ulysses, and our musician storytellers of captivating music. The sea... when asked to Liam "what does the sea represent and symbolize for you?" the answer was, "I believe the sea represents a good part of every human being’s life, indeed, life itself. The siren for me is a true obsession (I even got her tattooed on my arm). What attracts me is not the mystery of the siren or the mythological aspect, but the siren as a search, sometimes futile, for love."

This album is an underwater world, a means of communication between image and metaphor, the enchanting call of the sirens will always numb the minds of great navigators. Once again, we are faced with a union and feeling between "aquatic" nature and music.

Every man is a prisoner of his own desires…
