Elvis Presley 30# 1 Hits

Great, for those few Elvis songs I know, I’ve always had the same feeling expressed by the reviewer. I won’t rate the album because I essentially don’t know it.

It's a bit long, I don't agree with certain points, others quite a bit. Anyway, it's well written. It's the best Queen album for me too.

Well, if nothing else, it shows he has a minimum, indeed probably a good musical culture and not... I mean, it seems he knows what he's talking about both here and in the other review.

but the album was there in high school (for me who had never listened to anything of rap and hip hop.)

beautiful album, like every work of Nick, but I prefer Pink Moon, I find this one a bit too "pompous" and arranged... I love more the intimacy of the other two albums.

ajeje and bogus and others have fully expressed what I would have liked to say, so I’ll spare you that. Just one clarification that I noticed was not caught: I enjoyed reading the various reviews and comments from kosmo and puntini, and I appreciate you, however, I don’t understand how you could fall into the trap of the phrase “because we have no negritude to reevaluate: we are cultured white Europeans”: the phrase (besides the explanation of 'ngw') is not racist at all simply because the word "negro" is not at all racist, at least for those who know it (as I’m convinced Ferretti did), because "Negro" explicitly refers to a race, namely the black race, that of African blacks (Seedorf is black, Weah is Negro, just to be clear). Ferretti's statement is therefore not only non-racist but absolutely coherent with the fact that the blues originates from the work songs of the BLACK slaves in America (the very ones who had a negritude to reassess), and it precisely means the search for a specific identity that differs from that more influenced by the typical blues of American rock music (I imagine he was particularly referring to the more commercial one—and to Americanism in general; I don’t think he was talking about the Velvet or Pere Ubu, just to clarify). Oh, I recently discovered the album, and I find it magnificent.
