Bruce Springsteen Devils & Dust

Great album. Come on, listen to it with your heart. However, it doesn’t quite reach the peak (by Springsteen’s standards, of course).

Listen... if I come there... Come on! This group deserved a much more substantial review. They promise a lot. Try harder next time, please, Alberto Giordano.

What a beautiful review! Finally, you've fallen back in line (I wonder if that's a good thing). I didn't know this album. I listened to it after your review and... maybe it's not my favorite genre. I'm off to the beach.

Slide81 I've listened to this record, willingly or unwillingly. And I assure you that it has a lot of pop in it. But that doesn't mean it's a flaw. I like certain pop records. It's just that it seems you didn't choose the right adjectives to describe it. "Alternative rock, hard and very angry" isn't what you'll find here. Have you ever wondered why they should be angry?

Slyde81 "It's alternative rock, hard and very angry"???????
I don’t think so. I would correct it to: "It's pop, with vaguely rock tones, a bit pissed off (and no one knows why)"
Simple Minds Empires And Dance

I've always found Simple Minds a bit off-putting, and I'm not sure why, considering they come from the glorious and nostalgic (for me) '80s. They gave me the impression of being icy. The review gives a good idea of what the album is like.

I agree completely, in fact I would go so far as to give it a 5! Perhaps it's the nostalgia.....

He he he ... Damn... I wanted to see if you would backpedal after being unmasked! Let’s put it this way. Well, I’m generally a "Gentleman." You know, one of those calm ones with a smile. Generally. But underneath, I "vibe"... I’m a bit like Vesuvius. I’m usually very, very calm... but I know that sooner or later I will "erupt"...

It will be the opposite... precisely because it’s Debaser. Someone writes a "crap" review and someone else "slaughters" it. Look, if someone writes a nice and original review that helps discover a great album, they are usually praised. So all of this makes sense. On Debaser, reviews are written. Bad ones = boos... Good ones = applause. That’s all there is to it. This one was meant for boos and tomatoes in the face.
