It is alternative rock, hard and very angry, certainly the toughest and most direct album ever written by Skin and the gang.
The reference points? Certainly RATM in the riffing and the content of some lyrics, very political like, for example, Little Baby Swastikka, then post-grunge like in the wonderful Weak, which was also the first successful single.
Skin's voice is majestic, very high and sharp in the harder tracks but also gentle in the "ballads", as if to reassure you that, even though not everything in the world goes the right way, somewhere a ray of sunshine always breaks through. Just like the beautiful and ironic 100 Ways To Be A Good Girl where Skin shuffles the deck and contrasts a sweet and calm beginning with an ending filled with rage.
Among the best tracks to remember are the first single I Can Dream, Charity, and And Here I Stand, which opens with a strong bass line à la RATM and where the other excellent members of the band are highlighted, with a truly excellent rhythm section.
This is the album I've loved the most from Skunk!!
