Bruce Springsteen Born In The Usa

Stefanohab, I’m sorry that, despite the fact that you liked the review in the end, you find the flaw that it is "biased." Who knows. Some people like objective, serious, calculated, and precise reviews. But I ask: how is that possible? We are not professionals, journalists paid for this! We are (I believe most of us) fans, often die-hard ones. It’s clear that this review is truly one-sided. But that's a personal matter. I wanted to explore my intimate strings, let’s say. And I wasn't there thinking whether it would be liked or not. It was written in a rush, with my soul, and with the colors of memories. Sure, it’s like an overexposed photo, but I still like it that way. I’m a fan, and it shows. And for the duration of this review, I turned back into a sixteen-year-old...

Certain comments are written without any logical, objective, or subjective sense. They fall from the sky like pigeon droppings and stick to the paint of the bodywork, risking (if not washed off immediately) to corrode it. Masterpiece album of the '80s. In fact, masterpiece album of the last decades.

Oh! Well done! You agree with my theory: first the classics, then, perhaps, if anything, after considering everything, if we really must... these modern discs...

Ehmmm... Vasco spring-summer? Aside from that, an album I don't have but will have soon... And the review is made just for you to relate to it (demagogic :-)). P.S.: your rating?
Elton John Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

Socrates, pop is a genre just like rock, blues, jazz, soul, rap, etc. But, by definition, it is popular. That is, music that is extremely easy to enjoy (since it is pop-ular). It’s a genre that I appreciate, by the way. But it’s clear that within this genre, more than in others, there are many simplifications of Music. However, Elton John is a great in this genre and I don't think he needs justifications, at least for those like this one. The fact is that, at least for my tastes, while an old album by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Dylan, etc., remains enjoyable, these ones by Elton, despite their beauty, come off as a mess with too many meringues and candied fruits. But it’s a matter of taste. Another thing: in reviews, I agree with you, if an album is liked, even if it's a bit trivial, there should NEVER be any justifications written in support. If it’s liked, you review it, that’s it. But should tastes also be judged (even if some easygoing person on this site does...)? Never!

I agree with Grasshopper, but I’d like to add that, in my personal opinion, after so many years, his albums seem to me like a cake that is way too sweet. Baroque, yes, but Elton goes overboard...

Majikat! Purchased a few weeks ago on CD. Well, it takes you back to the '70s. An excellent sound resulting from a masterful remastering. A nice live classic.

One of my favorite authors! However, for those who have never listened to anything by Cat, I highly recommend "Tea for the Tillerman," which is definitely more substantial and mature than this. The review is very enjoyable.
