Indeed editor: this review isn't "a bit long" like those of RingoS??? But for me, that's not an issue. I liked it. And to think I came in to write: hey, this review was already here. The album is a nice enigma. But nice.

Oh my God, no! What have you done, Grasshopper??? And why did you do it? What a blow to the heart. I agree with you that the Eagles sing about an America that is mostly imagined or fantasized. That there have been much stronger singers than them in tackling social issues. But... but... the Eagles are legends. And especially this album. A tremendous album in the history of American rock. Aside from Hotel, come on, "New kid in town" is a gem. "Life in the fast lane" has a historic guitar riff for an anthem, maybe naïve, but that’s how it has been for generations. Just with these three songs, the album would deserve a full 5. But I also love "try and love again," sure it's a bit cliché, but it’s so warm. And "Wasted time"... Why the molasses? But maybe to appreciate this album, you need to have that easy west-coast San Francisco feeling from the '70s that perhaps is lost forever... P.S.: enough with this complete nonsense about how many copies were sold. Or rather: evidently it was a great album. P.S.S. And now, what score should I give you, Grass?

Like someone who doesn't want to grow or can't manage it, I believe. Or who doesn't grow for profit (musically speaking).

Grasshopper, you're not a repeat offender... this compulsive voting echoes a theory from Freud... does that ring a bell?

Here, I haven't listened to the album either. But, unlike the others, I like the review. Whether the album is good or not doesn't matter much, Giov interpreted it in his own way, critiquing it. Well done.
Roberto Vecchioni Samarcanda

""Samarcanda" lasts forty minutes or just under. They are among the most extraordinary forty minutes of Italian music." Ehmmm, maybe a tad exaggerated Michele? Of course, we fans when we review our favorite artist...

Okay Castaldo. Anyway, there wouldn't have been anything wrong with that. However, the concluding sentences that tend to shield us from corrosive comments don't really appeal to me. In summary: if you like "hanno ucciso l'uomo ragno," what do you care about others' judgments?

He he... for me, you said what you thought in the review. The last sentence, on the other hand, is not what you think but what you would like others to think of you.
