A really funny and smart review!
I find the album in question "unlistenable" (in the sense that I haven't listened to it in years) because the melodies are so sugary and dated... but it’s undeniable that those tracks made history, left their mark, and many have become almost "standards"... in short, it deserves a high score.

Nostalgia and Brilliant Trees are too beautiful, I love this album!

Patience if the sounds feel familiar, if this album doesn’t add anything new either to the music or (perhaps) to their career... but the tracks are beautiful and incredibly fun, really well done and overwhelming.

Among the records of the "golden age" of the project, this is the only one I don't like... maybe I've listened to it less than the others, but I just can't get into it. It’s well played and produced like a god, yet I don’t feel any memorable songs within it, and above all, it lacks Woolfson's beautiful voice! I'll try listening to it again, though... but the cover is truly one of the most annoying I've ever seen!

The album is nice and pleasant, although it loses a bit towards the end... they aren't very original, sounding like a mix between the early Blur and Madness, but after all, they are fun and this record kept me company for about a month... then I admit I put it aside.
Lenny Kravitz Are You Gonna Go My Way
Voto:
Ahahaha but I'm not offended at all! :) It's just that I didn't think the bad turn that Kravitz's career (and music) has taken could have cast such a bad light on all the "good" he did in the early days!

Bah... not even have I described this album as an undisputed masterpiece and Kravitz as a genius...

Yes, yes, it wasn’t a criticism of Embrace ;)... it's just that I've never seen much similarity between the two bands in question; I've always felt that these guys are much more "rock" and tied to the old Brit-pop scene (although lately they have indeed moved closer to Coldplay). They've always been (and still are) a predominantly English phenomenon... if we count the English artists who have managed to achieve success in America in the last 5 years, there are really very few. It seems that over there they are becoming increasingly reluctant to import European music.
