It's possible that our inquisitor doesn't like metal. However, among the first five, I think it's the one I like the least, but damn, what an album! Some comments I just can't understand...

I don't know them, but I didn't like this review. More than a review, it's a very subjective rant, and it's not even grammatically impeccable. Then I didn't understand what it means that just because you don't like Hammerfall, you hate power metal (Gamma Ray, Helloween, among others). No offense, but I really don't like this review at all. Did you read it again before posting?

Well done, beautiful review indeed, really well written and smooth, but unfortunately I don't know the album (I know "paint it black" just a little bit though)... Good job, see you next time!

The Korn don't seem much better in terms of MTV :) Anyway, if the album is as commercial as I'm reading here, then they can really go fuck themselves...

On Killers, you really shot wide of the mark, in my opinion (which I suspect not a few will share). Do you really think that Wrathchild, Murders in the Rue Morgue, or the title track sound bad or lack engagement? You say it's one of the worst Maiden albums—are you joking? Well, de gustibus non disputandum est, anyway... As for D.O.D., I’m a bit more aligned with your views, and I want to emphasize again how beautiful Paschendale is.

very beautiful white pearl black ocean...I’m not a maximum expert on all genres, but power (by power I mean early Helloween, Gamma Ray) is one of my favorite subgenres:) I don’t agree that it’s for kids...that’s a generalization (not everyone is called Rhapsody:)-which I don’t mind anyway-) that I don’t share. Extreme metal doesn’t attract me much; if there’s an album that impressed me in that subgenre, it’s definitely Reign in Blood. Regarding the point I read that there are many power bands but few of quality, that it’s an overinflated genre, well, I think you could make the same argument about extreme metal (I couldn’t give you examples, I’m basing it on various reviews I’ve read), like grind or black...but then, de gustibus:)

Well, I listened to it three times, who cares, what an album. I’m not too fond of the solos, but whatever. Araya's voice and Lombardo's drumming are terrifying. Not being a thrash expert, I’ll tell you the truth: this is a damn good record. Ferocious, furious, super fast, a true sonic slaughter, very nice, although you need to get used to it. Of course, if it lasted more than 29 minutes, that would be a drag! But it’s fine as it is :) Really great album.
