@ Bartlebloom: by the way, the most evident reference to various Gospels is precisely in the Stations of the Cross and the sacrifice of Shu, complete with cross, spear in the side, and hailstorm... What a saga, damn.

Beautiful review, very heartfelt, especially in the end. It encourages viewing.

Honestly, if I hadn't read this review, I would have skipped it entirely.
However, even though I'm still not convinced, you've definitely sparked my curiosity.
I'll go see it as soon as possible.

NECESSARY to appreciate the film, in my opinion, which is an excellent adaptation. Without having read it, watching Snyder makes much less sense.

The full proof that at least in animation, Tim Burton is not completely gone. ;)
Woody Allen Vicky Cristina Barcelona

As far as I'm concerned, it's an obscene, cheesy postcard of a movie, resembling more a cliché of Barcelona with all its stereotypes than anything else. The two tourists, the scruffy brunette and the blonde bimbo, the macho and hot artist, the old poet... and then the usual, unbearable, pseudo-intellectual veil spread over NOTHING. If there's one thing that gnaws at me for leaving the theater in the midst of my irritation around halfway through the film, it's that I missed seeing Cruz, whose beauty (and who could forget Volvèr?) is probably the only reason to endure this stuff. I much prefer Sogni e Delitti, which I think is grossly underrated. I'm not giving it a rating since I couldn't watch it in full, but I really don't think I'll be trying again.

Ahah, but excuse me if I went a bit overboard ;)
Virgin Steele The Marriage of Heaven and Hell, Part Two

"Two will be dedicated to William Blake's 'Marriage of Heaven and Hell', while the third album will focus on the life of Julius Caesar."
But excuse me, have you read the lyrics? Because beyond the title, this one and the previous one have little to do with Blake, and the same goes for Invictus, which, apart from another title, Veni Vidi Vici, and that’s all it implies, has NOTHING to do with Caesar. Well...
The album remains beautiful, in any case, like all the albums that followed the previous one.

What can I say, I am waiting for the joint effort of EMP and Poste Italiane to bring it to me in the mailbox. I can't wait.
