Brad Mehldau Trio Where Do You Start
Voto:
Wow, in 10 years only a handful of comments for an album by Mehladau, with the classic trio and tackling a repertoire as varied as it is enjoyable, played excellently, among the most suitable to introduce those who listen to other music to jazz.
A real shame, because certainly some listening opportunities to this and other works by the pianist would bring pleasant surprises, especially for newcomers.
Jeff Mills Mix-Up, Volume 2: LiveMix at Liquid Room
Voto:
A bit emphatic and with a striking ending, but a beautiful tribute to my favorite alien.
Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart Take Me To God

I suggest this to you:
Something that might interest you Spinner - Brian Eno & Jah Wobble - recensione
And all the others by that DeUtente (also known as Lato B and Renzo Pin, I think—I need to check).
The Abused Loud and Clear

After a while, these catchy melodies become boring...
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Mustt Mustt
Voto:
@[Cris] Well, I see that you are impervious to every single, precise, relevant objection regarding your specific text and you react by carefully avoiding answering the questions posed, presenting your "interests" as the only element of value and a remarkable sense of pride in claiming your "courage" to stand against the "idols" of a susceptible critique.
Two possible alternatives come to mind: either you do not understand the meaning of others' words and respond accordingly, or you are, forgive my French, a smart-ass.
Not wanting to imagine the second option as true,
I credit the first and definitively close any attempt at dialogue, evidently futile.
Regards.

Beautiful. However, this is perhaps the strangest, as you aptly put it, the most punk-like. I had "Roman Beach Party," perhaps the one I liked the most. But today I would buy "The Turgid Miasma of Existence" just for the cover...
Ben & Hellen Harper Childhood Home
Voto:
Then insist!
The other time you mistreated Nusrat talking about Arabic lullabies for a Pakistani singer, of whom you knew nothing (and you didn’t even bother to inform yourself before rambling on), here you talk about an album that Ben Harper is recording with his mother and mention his wife (?!).
I've already told you, and I have to repeat it: knowing at least what one is talking about is the bare minimum form of respect towards the subject of a review.
Appino Il Testamento

Heard now, for the first time, "Testamento" (I believe dedicated to Monicelli and his suicide).
Powerful, and I'm not referring to the wall of guitars.
Georg Friedrich Händel Tamerlano
Voto:
Oh yes, it happens sometimes.
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Mustt Mustt

Anyway, to read a worthy page that does justice to Nusrat, on DeB there is the one by @[fusillo] dedicated to "Love Songs."
