I subscribe to Gabbox, with half a point more for the album.

I appreciate the conciseness (in fact, I envy it) and the sincerity of a desire to convey the pleasure of listening without waiting for it to "settle." It’s a shame about the delay with which I read it. But I will catch up. Bye.

I missed Copernicus, but I remember Hal mentioned the record to me, I wonder on what occasion. It's among the ones I've promised myself to eavesdrop on at the usual little shop. Now it's moving up the ranks... Then, maybe, I'll buy it online :)
The Troggs Greatest Hits - Wild Thing

You continue, with excellent pages, in your tireless work of digging into the history of rock. The Troggs are strong, and the references to more contemporary bands seem spot on as well.

I’ve been looking for it these days because I recently re-listened to "Deceit," an album that I think surprisingly anticipated many current trends in the "rock" scene. And this one, however, I haven’t heard since then, but I remember it as being much more “radical.” Your quick description is nice, Ghemison.

Beautiful, Socrates. I also agree on the vote. Very evocative the page that, Hal is right, seems to have immersed you in the spirit of what you describe. "..at the moment the first melodies are unleashed" is spot on. Highly recommended.

And I apologize for bringing it up again, but I believe that objectivity, which you mention in your beautiful response, is almost impossible to pinpoint when dealing with the deeply personal perception of songs. After all, they are different for each of us. And your example is enlightening: (perhaps) they are not the most beautiful albums of all time. But yes, they are: they are for you. And that’s what matters. Arriciao.
