Dune, for now it's just Alfo, you, and me: let's hope he's the expert. As for Aphrodite C., I only had one vinyl, the most famous one, I believe: 666, from the early '70s. And I loved it as a kid. If you haven't heard it yet, it's worth a "purchase." In fact, I think I'll look for it...

BoH, PIXELID, we probably don't understand each other. It's not a matter of "there being something wrong." It can be there, but each in its own place, in its own time, in its own dimension. I still don't comprehend, and I don't find it logical, a mixture that doesn't stem from any verifiable data nor from any relevance. However, really, it's not that fundamental; it seems to me that we have tried to express each other's opinions, and I don't think we can go much further than that. - P.S. I agree with you on the last consideration: that the two were, each in their own way, "bizarre" I just mentioned in the post above. Bye.

Yes, Dune, it’s the same. He had a moment of great popularity in Italy, even performing some songs in Italian. I seem to remember he also participated in Sanremo. I believe I still have the 45s of the singles somewhere. A really unique vocal timbre, sometimes serving arrangements that are a bit "kitsch," but so much time has passed, I don’t know what I would think today... - I don’t know this record, but the review is nice. - P.S.: Alfo, is it really from '94, as it appears in the Track List?

Bèjart is a gentleman: undoubtedly a great talent, but quite an eccentric character, as is well known. There are many things in the world, even more extravagant than a musical like the one you mentioned. Anyway, I repeat, everyone can express their own tastes and opinions. Another matter is a critical approach "on the books," as you presumed, which we hope is supported by studies and analyses of a certain objectivity, as well as by a sense of proportion that, even before an in-depth historical and theoretical knowledge, should take into account common sense. - Then, that those two could get along well together and, why not, strum between one revelry and another, who can rule it out? After all, we are still talking about humans, and two rather unique specimens at that :))

"...if Freddie were to end up in school books, over the years he too would be considered by everyone on the same level as Mozart." Sorry for interrupting, Pixelid. I haven't followed the discussion, but I read this sentence among the recent comments. I just wanted to express a hope. That is to say, I sincerely hope that the hypothesis you're proposing never comes true. I mean, I hope we never reach such a flattening of "critical consciousness" that we would accept such absurdity. Of course, everyone is free to create their own personal lists, rankings, and preferences. However, I see no reason to compare things that are so distant. That's all. Regards.

ZiOn, you too! Of course it’s outdated. The date is, indeed, 1998 :) But how cute is the evolutionist video of the single? It was here, right? "Right Here Right Now," sure, but wasn't "Fat Boy Slim is Fucking in Heaven" funny? It still is for me, despite its ancient 8 years... The strength of the record also lies in a certain "tamarro" style - I like the review.

Hal, a while ago I picked up "Mountain Passages" spurred by the enthusiasm that came through from one of your comments in an old review. And I thought it would be good to leave you a page about that album (which I also like a lot, and it's one of the "sides" of this great musician). But while listening to it again a few days ago, I had the chance to appreciate its overall quality and the many enjoyable moments scattered throughout each track. Here, Caine, if you happen to listen to it again, is impeccable, very measured yet perfect in the overall economy. - So "Keystone" and no Dolomites?

@ Morningstar and Vì: Well, gentlemen, you mention names of very particular voices (and to my ear, moooooolto far from Katie "Mary Poppins" Eastburn) for the resemblance to a voice that I find more "evocative" than "beautiful" or free from limits. Yes, Vì, Slow Moving Storm, in its brevity, is one of the most obliquely "finished" pieces on the album. Perhaps the best? - @zzzzzzzzzzzzzz: sooner or later, a postman will come...

Symbad, I didn't find that Kneebody. I don’t shop online, but my dealer is usually efficient. Even the mule didn’t come to the rescue, damn it...

Dear Sfascia Carrozze and Trita Carriole, I hope that, at least in the less acute phase, your auscultatory instincts are somewhat satisfied by the many sonic snippets recently applied to DePagina. Best regards Trombettosi at Iosa (Antzique yes!) - Your reel of (dis)trust.
