@Festwca: but once every twenty days is quite a lot! Make the necessary comparisons: it was a "niche" phenomenon thirty years ago, and it has no revival from today's productions, except for rare cases, like other "genres" that benefited from revivals. Yet, there are many reviews of Kraut and similar because there’s a lot of interest. I find this curious and interesting. I wasn’t judging; it’s a fact too. In fact, I haven’t listened to certain records in many years, and I’ve never heard others, and sooner or later, maybe, I’ll return to them. As for the slightly higher number of comments on my posts, I believe it also depends on the fact that, like it or not, I’ve written about at least 15-20 records released in 2006 or at the end of 2005. Being "new releases," they probably generate a bit more curiosity. Besides the fact that there are some DeUsers who are really very kind to me (and I must admit that they are also the ones whose pages I read with the most pleasure, so the circle closes), although some are joining your Campaign for brevity, and I imagine they will abandon the reading of the next ones :)

We had a similar exchange before, I believe, Socrates. I remain convinced that it depends solely on the type of audience present on the site at the time and the dizzying rotation of the recs. Your pages always avoid hyperbole, they don't seek effect, they deal seriously yet with a light humor with the albums and suggest subtle and never shouted viewpoints. And often for albums that have neither the halo of an ultra-legend nor the (often undeserved) fame of "masterpieces." I fear they attract little interest from a large portion of the varied humanity that circulates here. Without passing judgment, simply acknowledging things as I see them.

Festwca, Marianone is the author of the review. To me, he seems friendly and kind (which is no small feat these days, with all these excited young people around) and I’m sorry that he hasn't written anything else. Moreover, as you notice, he has the gift of synthesis. Which I appreciate too. Without making it the only appreciable quality :) In short, if you're listening, Marianone, a hello from a stranger. And get in touch with some more pages. Bai bai.

Well, I found it even concise. There are quotes from different groups (and probably if I had done it, I would have slipped in a few references to them) describing the songs and the personalities of the musicians. And we're talking about a sort of unique specimen in its kind, really a great album. One that couldn't be said to have even a comma less, I believe. The writing is clear and precise, very recognizable. I don't think it depends on the signature, Socrates. It's just that there’s such a crowd of reviews now, and a good chunk of "old" absent users, that a title nearly twenty years old, if it's not among the genres that seem to garner more interest lately in DeB (Kraut rock & similar, Metal, and the hardcore of the new wave, especially the more extreme side, plus some old classics) is not destined to collect many comments. But now Happy N. B is in DeB and, slowly, the word of mouth will do its job here as well.

Well, even on this sunny August afternoon, it finds a reason. In fact, it seems at home here. Found a couple of hours ago, for just a few euros, at the usual stall, as good as new. The cover even looks like it. Where has the very concise Marianone gone?

Got it. So, I listened to it only once, last night. There’s no doubt about the overall quality, the accuracy of writing and production. Nor about the strong evocative and communicative power. Someone, on the first listen, mentioned the vocal parts: not always up to the atmosphere created, perhaps a bit "rigid," as if they were juxtaposed to the sonic plot. But this is certainly too hasty an impression that the many listens the record deserves will likely change. I always pay particular attention to voices, and somehow some immediately "sound" good to me, while I have to give others more chances. Overall, though, I believe that Timelines will turn out to be one of the best Italian products of the year, barring unexpected numerous surprises... Ribravo Logic.

What a beautiful synthetic portrait. Never even heard of it. The fragments overheard on the site are intriguing. I will investigate.

A reminder to thank and greet everyone, especially Amalteo, who appears rarely. Who knows if he has noticed that the link in more info leads directly to a page of his personal space on the web, which contains, in addition to many other pages dedicated to different topics (which I find very interesting), also true amorous tributes to great musicians. I therefore recommend following his tracks. Bai
