AA.VV. On How A Picture Can Sound
Voto:
There are some very interesting recent examples of musicians grappling with contemporary art: the last two that come to mind are B. Frisell (Richter 858) and H. Zazou (Quadri{+}Chromies). I recommend listening and watching the first one; the second is quite challenging, as it was born for a live "performance," and I need to revisit it with more time - Regards and kisses to everyone.

@ Festwca: true, it may seem superfluous and arbitrary to the listener, but that doesn't mean it was for the author. After all, there's no "intellectual" tone in the operation, and I appreciated that... - @Fusillo: it seems like she has given herself to me :)) - @Lewis: just like you say, exactly :) - @zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz: huh? I would go with "On How A Consonant Can Sing". Seeing its zedtosa trail is always a pleasure.

Nick, I don't have anything from them. Which one should I take between the two 8/10?

I'm downloading from the site, it seems as fast as a hare. But has anyone already done "On How A Music Can Look?"

Yes, it looks quite beautiful to me too. Yet, despite all that excitement, you give it a 3. Can I ask why?

Well, wow, it’s not every day that Henry Purcell makes an appearance in the comments on a review of Beethoven, in a curious temporal incongruity. And if the advice of someone is worth anything, his certainly cannot be ignored :))

Iggy Pop Blah-Blah-Blah

Fosca, I too had been seduced. I remember climbing the stairs at home with a friend of mine (a well-known music editor) humming CRY FOR LOVE, and he was astonished, having just panned the album in question. But we know very well that music journalists can't (also in the sense that they can't afford to) "understand" certain things :) - I liked it a lot too. "Basically, it was as if Iggy Pop was trying to imitate David Bowie who was attempting to be Iggy Pop." However, I can't be that cruel; I would give that hybrid a passing grade. A decent pop rock album after all, and even the vocal style (Cecè is right, it's strange for Iggy) isn't that disgusting. Of course, if you want the Iguana, you should look elsewhere...

Here, Geenoo, given that tastes are tastes anyway (but in my verbose post I was trying to discuss something else, maybe it wasn’t clear) let’s do this: 4th The time: Clearly, in the "evaluation" of a work, the temporal element is an additional factor that allows one to observe all aspects with a sort of distance useful for avoiding the not rare temptations related to mythologization, exaggeration, or excessive devaluation. This element, of course, is subject to the personal, subjective perspective: what appears to you, dear Geeno, as the soul of one person, for others happens with the celebrated contemporary singer-songwriters. It’s not about definitive judgments of time, therefore, but about yours. And perhaps they are not as definitive or indisputable, don’t you think? And again: they are just songs, yes, I confirm. I would have no hesitation in discussing it with Mr. De André, who I believe had a very concrete idea of the dimension and greatness of the song as a popular vehicle, both intimate and public, of feelings and culture. I have some doubts (more than one, I would say) about placing his lyrics alongside those of a Mogol. But here, esteemed Geenoo, not wanting to delve into further complications, I draw on your "tastes are tastes". In this specific case, and quite unusually, I trust my own blindly. - P.S. Don’t go telling anyone, alright? :)) - P.S.2 Not out of rudeness, but I believe I won’t return to this page, I’ve rambled on too much already. Bai bai.

Ullapeppa..! On their website, I listened to snippets of the old ones (beautiful) and I must say that your lyrics seem to fit well with the gentlemen in question.
