Carmen Consoli Un Sorso in Più

You lie knowing that you are lying. You knew about this identity of mine. Now, get cultured about Panella, since you already have "Amore e non Amore" by Lucio, whose musicality is not that far from certain PDP-style craziness. And I don’t play the fool, make use of the foundations of computer science they taught you in electronic engineering. The dissertation doesn’t have to be pleasing, it’s the wicked who often misunderstand it that way. A kiss.

Well, I don't agree with Gabri, I was starting to worry. Not so much about Amon Duul, but about Einstürzende, whom I really have a hard time with: not so much for their earlier works, but for the later ones, and in particular for that Perpetuum Mobile, which I listened to with a certain sense of exhaustion. In my opinion, they are indigestible, but there it is...

I don’t particularly like cerebral music; I prefer the formal musicality of words. Often, my good friend Bogus and I engage in discussions about Panella, the lyricist for Battisti’s latest work: I invite you, more than listening to Consoli (whose hit "In Bianco e Nero" is already an example of delicate and personal confession devoid of cerebral abstruseness—dig deeper), to go mushroom hunting in Panella’s woods by listening to ā€œPerò il Rinoceronteā€ and ā€œPotrebbe Essere Sera,ā€ just to give an example of cerebral lyrics that don’t just revolve around themselves. The recovery of language can happen in two ways, through cultivated words or phonosymbolism. Battiato and Consoli are the prophets of cultivated language, much more understandable in some ways than a novice De Gregori or Dylan: consult the dictionary, read the meaning, and goodbye to everyone. Phonosymbolism is found in Morrison, De Gregori, Dylan: evocative words, even from a musical perspective, become vehicles for thousands of meanings; it doesn't make much sense, but the literal meanings are clear, at least those. So a distinction must be made. De Gregori is not Battiato and vice versa. In some ways, he is closer to Panella, who has never flaunted a cultural display. Your observation about the use of language registers is correct, albeit obvious; but one thing is to speak colloquially, another is to discourse, and if the subject of the debate is educated, it pairs well with elaborate language. Now promise me you'll behave, and I'll return to offer you my sweet secret.

Sedatives, intoxications... in short, what is necessary is often not enough.

You don't expect me to believe that pupattola is really a new entry... who is hiding behind it? And what about this record, what is it?

Oh no, my dear Rocco 9-inches, I quote: "because there are those who boast, who sing, who iron, and who play it, and perhaps they don’t even need music to console themselves for the end of a love, indeed perhaps they find as many loves as they want, like pleurotus..." "that's not my case" referred to the whole sentence, not the specific fact of finding pleurotus; for that, all you need are arms and a bat, just a reminder.

George, I have followed your painful ordeal and I have clear and blunt ideas. I saw how, through the previous review on U2, you strongly positioned yourself as the worst-rated reviewer in the history of Debaser, as well as the new Francis case, and in a certain sense those objectives are within reach from this perspective. I care about you, and I know you care about me, but now I must tell you something that will hurt you, hoping to get you back on the right path. You wrote "anke" with a k. And that's not acceptable. It’s not nice. It's ungrammatical and vulgar. To me, every one of your jabs is fine, every one of your excessive opinions on U2 or whoever is fine, but "anke" no, "anke" offends me, it makes me feel bad, it makes me wish for the return of De-B, the historic group of pissed-off metalheads. So you are officially sent back to reviews without the "k", please, and the moment you have done your homework honestly, I will know how to reward you as you deserve. Greetings from your Pietro.

But I really like the way Kosmo thinks! :) I agree with her judgment, of which I only contest the notice about Zucchero's collaborations, of which I happen to like only some! Honest review. Zion, don't be a brown-noser :D
