Paolo Vallesi Le Persone Inutili
Voto:
If that’s the case, 1991 was also the golden year of Nirvana, U2, RHCP, and at least another twenty names of bands/artists with just as many masterpieces. Was it really necessary to mention Slint to mock Vallesi and the musical taste of the charts and the Sanremo sheep? What a shame to waste Slint like that… And in the end, the criticism of Vallesi for a song with a text that isn’t so repugnant compared to some results from our illustrious singer-songwriters. The problem with Vallesi wasn’t "le persone inutili," a modest debut song, but dignified for the Sanremo Italy (to which it was directed), it was that he stopped there. He never rose above that mediocre result, but after that song, he could have still had a lot to prove (of course, not becoming a new Gaber, but maybe a new Morandi. Hey guys, that’s the target…). A 3 for encouragement to everyone.

jokes, already done: "Richard O'Brien on DeBaser also with: The Rocky Horror Picture Show [by RingoStarfish]"... better if you go back to reviewing your own concerts... deliciously and inexplicably self-congratulatory but at least... at least... come on, spare us even those, it’s better.

Ringo Starr Ringo

I know it means I don't understand music, but Ringo remains one of my top three favorite drummers in the pop-rock realm. Don't ask me why, just listen to everything the Beatles had his hands and sticks on, and sooner or later you'll find the explanation. The review is stunning. Stunning and perfect. Emotion, expertise, engagement, and like with good Ringo, so much craft. I think out of the tons of reviews that come in every day, this is one of the best, for the interesting personal insights and for its completeness. Ringo dissected! Well done Giampy, a welcome with a bow.

I also think it's a really great second album, it's just a shame that it's not very well known and appreciated... anyway, in trance is a true leap in quality. From there on, nothing could stop the Scorpions except the Scorpions themselves.

But is it "traccie" or "tracce"??? Anyway, superb choice and excellent comprehensive review... for me too, a tough duel with "in trance": I don't know what to say, but the Uli Roth era remains my favorite, neoclassical guitar work at its highest level. And the cover is iconic in hard rock history. Stark but devastating (just like the album title). PS Recently, I've gotten my hands on "Fly to the Rainbow": what do you think of it if you're familiar with it?

In my humble opinion, Give Me The Night and Off The Wall are among the most successful albums of black pop music...
