Peter Gabriel So
Voto:
Great album, I'm happy about this warmth for Gabriel. "So" is very good but then Passion or IV???? I’m curious. Grass and Mary, what do you think about Up and Us? They have very contrasting opinions, both. Then I'll share my thoughts.
The Doors Waiting For The Sun
Voto:
It has aged well, revisited today it looks stunning.. obviously it's a chasm below the debut, even if for some superficial person it might seem like the same old soup. You did well to mention it, now we need The Soft Parade.

I wanted to say very neglected and a great desire to travel, but you know, the excitement!

lucky you Mariaelena, how I envy you! I hope to read the review of OVO soon; it's an album to which I’ve become very attached (all on my own). Undeservedly overlooked, it is actually incredibly beautiful. I hope you do it justice; I also wanted to talk about it, but OVO requires reflection and feeling; it must be listened to with closed eyes and a lot of imagination. One must still know how to believe in fairy tales and have the courage to travel through contrasting landscapes that are always full of charm. I'm waiting.

The vote aligns with masterpieces like Honky Chateau, Tumblebleed Connection, or Captain Fantastic... This is a bit more indulgent and gaudy, but also a useful map for those who want to navigate the thousands of Elton albums and don’t know what to expect. Yes, here on the site, pop is always seen in a slightly negative light, and wouldn’t you know it, us admirers recognize each other from afar. For me, Elton John holds a sweet significance, as he was one of the first things I listened to and loved, and it was from there that I could embark on exploring the elsewhere. Listening to GYBR again today feels like a "melodic toy" because that was ultimately the author’s intention: to showcase his talent once again. In contrast, there are albums like Madman Across The Water and others where the aim is to recreate a prevailing mood, with interconnected sensations. Anyway, Socrates, I was also about to review Smile... :)

I know, I left out "A Night Like This"… great track. But how can you say everything? It was already long… yes, the album is uneven, but it has to be.
Casino Royale CRX
Voto:
CRX is an undeniable masterpiece. You could have gone even further since you already made an effort to remember it... Here lies the best of the Italian rap/trip-hop scene from the '90s. If only they hadn't been overshadowed by CRX... what could the Casino Royale have become? They only managed to be the opening act for U2's PopMart tour... sigh!
Wings Wings Over America

I understand that you like wings! Good for us. Nice anecdote about the laser in Venice...
