The Clash London Calling

pure pleasure to read you. Like an addict getting an infinite fix. I’ve been waiting for all this from you, from that nickname and even from other things. And finally, it has arrived. Not everything aligns with what would be my version of events, but it’s just as passionate. And that’s enough, more than enough, it excites me. And among my top three personal albums, we have two in common. Not bad.
Van Morrison Brown Eyed Girl

Dear Jim, sorry for the delay, but even though the review of The Soft Parade was very valid, I would say quite spot on (thank you for accommodating me!), this one, what can we do, just didn’t resonate with me. Not because of the innovation of the non-review (I’m thinking about doing something like that myself) but because the storyline feels a bit lacking. Almost nothing. But I think we should take that into account, these are attempts to do something new, something risky. Maybe the next doughnut will have a hole in it too! For Kosmo: get to work, my dear!
Madonna Confession on a Dance Floor

Well, I just wanted to show myself... For the rest, I've been playing to great applause Gimme Gimme Gimme by ABBA as the opening for concerts for three years now. My version is more early Blondie style, but it appeals to both the old ladies and the little girls crazy for Franz Ferdinand. So, I thought of it first. Now I'm working on Voulez-vouz.
The Replacements Let It Be
Voto:
I'm sorry that at least for now there hasn't been much feedback from the debaseriani, but I want to congratulate you! The Replacements moved me with how wonderfully natural, poetic, and awkward they were, with that innate sense of melody. Long live cow-punk, and congratulations again, this time for the nickname, dear Cuticchia Cesare...
Cornershop When I Was Born For The 7th Time
Voto:
Great choice, well done, bro! You know I was listening to it last night in the car? And I felt terribly nostalgic... I agree with everything you said, and you even snatched it right under my nose!
Van Morrison Brown Eyed Girl

But is all of this at least autobiographical? I can lend you a Bananarama CD if you’ve sold the others, or I can burn you the live at the Isle of Wight by Hendrix... Nice choice anyway, Jim!
Supergrass Road To Rouen
Voto:
finally unveiled... great album, it could have been their best if it had lasted longer. I think they could have maintained this state of grace for a few more minutes... Supergrass are maturing, and they're doing it in the best possible way, independent of current trends and dominant movements. I liked them right from the start, and they're not disappointing me. Great care and great love for music.
The Residents Eskimo
Voto:
Eskimo, a delight for brave ears...great choice, and brilliant genius. The unsurpassable model for Mark of the Mole (messier).
Elton John Tumbleweed Connection
Voto:
Surely on the podium of Elton's best albums. Yes, I am one of those who consider the golden age to be until '75. Sorry, where do you put Captain Fantastic? And anyway, Songs From The West Coast (2001) is not bad at all, as much as it is incredibly clever and well-packaged (with a collaboration with Stevie Wonder and a somewhat trendy advertising recommendation from Ryan Adams). Congratulations again, black, and as I wrote today in the review of Mano Negra, I am glad not to be the only one or almost to appreciate the aforementioned artists. Grass, we must console ourselves when we are skillfully replaced.
