I share the opinion of Trell and Psycho: the first two were interesting, then the world forgot about them.

Without beating around the bush, I find this CD decidedly underwhelming. The biggest drawback is the absence of memorable songs (in this sense, while not a masterpiece, Blackberry Belle can boast at least 4 or 5 above-average tracks). The presence of guests like Ani Di Franco and Joseph Arthur is rather insubstantial, just as you can easily skip My Time (Has Come), yet another version of La Vedova Bianca - White Widow by Afterhours.

Blonde Redhead 23

the album I’ve listened to the most in the last two months. There are tracks that grabbed me right away (the title track, Dr Strangeluv, and Spring and by Summer Fall), but over time, doubts have begun to surface, particularly regarding the (over)production by Alan Moulder, who has filled every song with keyboards to an unbelievable extent. There are passages that honestly tread the line of bad taste (the keyboards in SW, the percussion bridge in Silently), but I still believe that this CD will lead Blonde Redhead toward a much wider following than they currently have.

I bought it, really beautiful. So far, Revival is my favorite, along with a Kingdom of Rain that is even darker than the original, if possible.

Is Alberto Ferrari's voice more unbearable or Davejon's hound-like commentary? What a dilemma...

I see there are several covers, there's even a version of Kingdoms of Rain, already on Whiskey for the Holy Ghost by Lanegan.
