I'm listening to it now. I found out they are Italian. First impression: pop-rock without any psychological depth. I'm starting to feel old for this stuff, but people who are ten years younger than me might really like this CD. Maybe it's better if I go back to doing the dishes.

Basquiat's exhibition was one of the most beautiful I have visited (at the Chiostro del Bramante in Rome, I think in 2000). I fully agree with Ghemison's judgment; "a desperate vitality" seems to be the phrase that best summarizes what Basquiat's art has expressed. I remember little about the film; perhaps it's because I saw it in bits and pieces.

Wow Nick, I haven't listened to that many albums released this year. Well, IMHO for 2007 the best one is PJ Harvey, followed by Los Valientes Del Mundo Nuevo by the Black Lips and the soundtrack of Into the Wild by Eddie Vedder. As for songs, Fake Empire by The National (who made the album that the Interpol couldn't pull off), Universo by Cristina Donà (one of the most beautiful things to come out of Italy in quite a while), and Io Amo I Morti by Gavino, here's his MySpace (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=135338249).
