It cannot be the pinnacle, not even by mistake, because in terms of harmonies, arrangements, and influences, Superunknown is definitely superior. Bad is more straightforward, and it's understandable that it might appeal more to those who are more accustomed to certain sounds. It's a matter of taste. But in terms of ambition and actual quality, Superunknown is an album that will remain in history.

I didn't know it was about a trip. Beautiful, perfect description from my point of view. The first time I heard it, with that cavernous riff, it seemed almost annoying to me. The sound is nothing short of clumsy. And yet it’s an incredible track, one of the highlights of the album.

Bad bad, at least for me. Really dull, very soft, very melodic but in the worst sense, reminiscent of those from the reason (Hoobastank?!) in certain passages.

Not very inspired. A shame because the first two were really great albums.

From here to shoveling shit on MJK is a big leap. Bullshit. Tool without Maynard are like carbonara without guanciale. He might not be Mr. Nice Guy, but who cares, I don’t have to marry him. Of course, if he avoided the LA LA LAI it would do me a favor too.
