I tried to listen to the latest - where did the night fall - this weekend and it didn't move me either way, pretty light in every sense. War Stories is among the best stuff I've heard in recent years; in terms of "singles that you like after three seconds," it really has few rivals. Many say it gets tiresome, but I still play it in the car when the crowd is diverse and nobody ever complains. If you try to play Never Neverland, a lot of people will give you hell.

He’s cool in everything, but he uses beats that make me cringe. The very rare times he uses something I like or sounds with others, it’s a completely different story. Monopoly (beat of the madonna) is one of the best tracks against the imaginary enemy I've ever heard.

I wasn't there in August, so I binge-watched the last episodes all together (what a thrill), and I must say that the direction, Cranston or whatever the hell his name is, is fantastic: when Hank tries to pull the strings on Heisenberg with the photos, it's all perfect, starting from the soundtrack. A solid 10, is the best show I've ever seen... except maybe The Wire? No, just bi-bad.

I was out in the center the day before yesterday morning, and I remembered that The Heliocentrics were playing at Santannarresi, so I went. It was really well done. The town, as usual, responds to the festival in a ridiculous way, with not even a stall or an organized camp for young people, but as far as the musicians are concerned, Santanna always blows everyone away. Tonight there was the Sun Ra Arkestra, but I have commitments tomorrow, otherwise that would have been worth seeing too. But the Heliocentrics even more.
