A guy I know named his cane corso Fenrir. A cane corso living in an apartment is already a bit of a sad case, but calling it Fenrir is double trouble. He shows up with the puppy and we go, “Gianmà, is this your animal?” He says, “Eja,” (giving that fierce look) “it’s a cane corso, damn, and it’s not a nice one.” We reply, “Eja, look, it's going to become a hellish beast.” And he, with an expression that mixes Nordic mythology and Viking pride, says, “It already is, its name is Fenrir.” We chime in, “Cèèèèè... scary!” And he says, “It’s the name of the wolf that on the day of the apocalypse will swallow the sun and plunge the world into darkness until the end of days.” We respond, “Pajjjjuuuuuraaa.”

Every now and then I lose track of a nice review of some beautiful album. I haven't heard it, I still haven't caught Sylvian, not even the Japan, but as they say, "Robert Fripp? oohhh... There's A Party!". But when you were little, how did you deal with the misfortune of being born two days before Christmas? Damn, that must have been horrible, a combined Christmas/Birthday gift... 1 Barbie instead of two... Come on, that's all in the past, you're safe now :D
