You’re right, it’s a bit stupid of me to calculate a drug addict in the same way as a clear-minded person. However, this discussion is drifting a bit away from what I meant (we might drift back later, but first I want to clarify what I wanted to say). It’s not that I have something against Cobain; I have something against those who mythologize him and talk about him as a victim, “poor Cobain” and things like that. The same people who say “poor Cobain” might have just five minutes earlier looked down on some junkie who asked them for change. I’m not saying that people like Cobain should burn in the flames of hell, I just say that in the end, Cobain was a foolish junkie, and he’s certainly not a good example to follow. But my discussion is directed towards the TV, the radio, not the fans. Everyone is free to choose their own examples, but the mass media needs to consider what they’re feeding into the brains of kids. They have a huge responsibility, but they don’t give a damn. He was a junkie with some musical talent who happened to be in the right place at the right time, and they want to sell him as a genius. I can’t stand seeing a loser as a role model for kids, and besides, if he killed himself, I think it was because he wanted to be forgotten, and yet he’s still around, after 11 years.

Why are you already convinced that you'll get hungry? How come? ;) //// Antimo, more than the mythologizing of Nirvana, I don't understand the mythologizing of Cobain. He didn't die; he shot himself, leaving a little girl named Francesca Fagiolo (and with a name like that, you really feel for Cobain, poor girl) in the hands of a drug-addicted prostitute. To me, he was really an idiot. Okay, he went through a lot, they called him gay and all kinds of shit, but someone who doesn't take responsibility for their own children is, to me, a big bastard/coward. Then again, I agree that Nirvana isn't all that great, but they aren't terrible either; in the end, they were a breath of fresh air after Duran Duran, Simple Minds... there was a lot of trash in the '80s, so I can roughly understand why Nirvana (and Guns N' Roses) broke through. It's really Cobain's image that I can't stand. If he hadn't had kids, I might think differently; even the guy from Division (oh, I never forget the name) killed himself, but he doesn't annoy me like Cobain does (even if we have to count that the Division guy isn’t always on TV :D). It honestly bothers me to see my 13-14-year-old cousins wearing shirts with that idiot; what kind of example is that? Thankfully, I’ve always liked Jimi... (not sure if that's really a blessing... :D)

I'm going to school with Dave Catching, in a couple of months I'll also have my degree from StonedCaubboi. If all goes well, I'm throwing the graduation party at Rancho De Luna, we're bringing 50 sound engineers, putting them in the center of the room and giving them a beating in the capocollo, obviously while we listen to Buzzo's Vocalizzi.

I'm looking for them, it sounds like a great tip. More experimental than ever inspires me, but I doubt these guys will throw copper cables into the middle of the audience shouting "let's hug and make a sound." Fariselli & Tofani are tough to beat when it comes to experimentation :D

Several things about Frank Zappa, the spoken interludes, the soft drum breaks offbeat... very, very Zappa. Too bad he passed away right at the beginning of Michele's career; I could really see them working well together, damn it.

Minchia is furious, but I don't envy him that much: a guy who at 24 conducts orchestras, who as a child instead of playing doctor spent his time at the piano or the harpsichord—he's going to reach 30 and marry the first mollusk that comes his way out of pity or to see if he conducts any stick well. The kinder cereals are right, you never know what's behind... maybe Pier Silvio is with Toffanin for image, and deep down he dreams of Rigge de biuttifful.

I had never heard of Pietari, I googled it and he seems to be quite famous. He composes & conducts from what I understand in two readers on the fly... but have you ever heard Frank Zappa conduct an orchestra? ;)
