No no vv... no no. It may not please the Stoners, but that doesn't mean a damn thing. Even Miles Davis sucks to stoners, but that doesn't mean Davis is an idiot. He changed genre... and he's neither stoner nor rock. I think he's amazing; few would have had the courage to make such a big turnaround. And then he's great because all the angry black stoner dudes, he managed to piss them off, so he's cool. :))

///////Well... I must say, it was the first time I saw them live (and I know I should have moved sooner)... alright, a good dose of hits, old songs and new ones, and the setlist was fine... to be honest, the sounds weren't quite right for me; I mean, Josh was entering and leaving the songs, and sometimes it seemed to me that something was out of tune or misplaced (yeah, I know it's a live show and not a record, but the guitar in many parts wasn't what I expected, I don't know if it was him being "on fire" or some mysterious technical issue due to Transylvania), Troy sometimes had the same problem as Josh, especially with the use of keyboards and various gadgets... the rhythm section, bass and drums, seemed okay, of course the new bassist did his dirty work decently, but unfortunately he doesn't have the stage presence Nick did... Mark, well, I don't know what to say, just a guy passing by...(maybe next time if they let me hear him too, it would be better)...

I don't know, I expected a bit more maybe... but perhaps I should have seen them earlier...///////////// definitely the time I liked them the least, the new songs, apart from two or three, are pretty flat both on the album and live, and I didn't think it would be so obvious, but I guess they're missing the bald guy, then I thought they would play a bit more or work the encore better. I have to say I found them still warming up, neither here nor there.
Let's hope for the best but I don't know ///////////// <--- Stoner comments, it's worth considering; stoners are likely not to enjoy this album and this new style.

Exactly, the best of Dance in recent years. Absolutely right, since dance is a crappy genre, they are really good at making it. Thankfully, we have electronic music left; we'll leave dance to them. The first one was nice, the second one sucked, and I hope to never hear this one :D

Well... Crover has ruined himself, but there wasn't much for Buzzo to ruin, he was pitiful at 20 and he’s pitiful at 40 (damn, he's ugly, poor guy)... but we like him that way ;)))

Well, Benzo, it was clear, expected, and implied that it wasn't just that. He doesn't play 1234 instruments, Zorn. Zorn Soloist, I mean works titled solely under Zorn's name, that is to say, those works where the final say comes from Zorn. Yes, Mike might have told him let’s do this, let’s do that... but the final "yes/no/yes but" is Zorn's; the work comes out as he wants it, without having to accommodate multiple opinions, like Masada or Naked City. Plus, no one is really solo in works like these. The only truly solo albums are jazz, like Pastorius on stage alone for an hour, an hour of solo bass; Phil Glass with a solo piano concert; Filomena Moretti with a solo classical guitar concert... only Zorn mainly plays the sax, and it’s clear from the review that this wasn't a solo sax album :)

I know a ton of people who have been there, later I'll copy and paste some opinions for you.

How does it sound? More like a desert session than a QOTSA album. It’s light, really light, super light. I think it's the start of a new style. The first one was very rock, the second very pop, the third a fusion of the first two. This has nothing to do with that; it's light, very light but also a bit crazy. It feels more "naughty" than "rowdy," because Oliveri is no longer there and he was the rowdy one. Homme made it clear, I've had enough of making a ruckus every night, of waking up in the morning not knowing where I am... Josh Homme, the stoner is dead and gone. Just look at the cover, it explains everything perfectly. No more naked babes with beer in hand, but a frightened little girl lost in a cave. It’s more of a Cleo album than an album for vv... to put it in de-baser terms. For sure, many will be disappointed, but just as certainly, a lot of people who weren't that into QOTSA will appreciate this album. For the umpteenth time, Josh has pulled a fast one on everyone. I’m not a huge fan of his, but I can’t find a fault.

Bobbo Dylan is Bobbo Dylan... let the disciples go pick eggplants, I want Bobbo Dylan, not the substitutes :))))))

Here, you see, you've hit on ONE of the Reasons... this thing about being Bob Dylan's heir... my goodness, what a crazy ride... my goodness... Perhaps I dislike it so much also because I heard it quite late, after reading endless praise and comparisons like the one mentioned above; I was expecting something impressive... I didn’t find it impressive and that’s why I got riled up. Sometimes disappointment ruins our judgments. The exact same thing happened with U2; I was expecting all sorts of interstellar coolness... but it was the same old story as with Springsteen :D
