So what? Moonchild goes to beat dressed as Wonder Woman, Dylan Dog is a little fart compared to Moon.

Ah, the red star was invented in Russia, but the Zapatistas use it too, and he's doing it as a reference to Marcos. Moreover, there are stars and stars; most of the time the star you see on Zack and Morello isn't the communist star, but their logo star, that is, a rotated red star. The rotation signifies adherence to the underlying idea but with their own adjustments in thought. You see, you were wrong here too; if you don't know your enemy, you don't know where to hit them—missiles in the water. The star on the drum, on the flags, and various other stuff is theirs, but it has happened that he brought Zapato flags featuring the original star on stage, though those are rare cases.

How can I admire Che and not share his ideas? Simple: I admire his charisma, his courage, his desire to stand against what he didn’t like, his "stay-anti". At the same time, I think about his political ideas and I think: “dictatorship, disgusting, uselessness.” I read in your words an incredible extremism of thought; you can't separate a person into multiple sides. For instance, I really like Paolo di Canio, I admire him as a footballer, but his political ideas make me sick. Or, I don't know, I also admire Berlusconi for his cleverness and because he’s incredibly shrewd, so much so that he’s been such a bastard that he’s taken advantage of an entire nation, but that doesn’t mean I like having him in government. I don’t consider “a sworn enemy” a complete idiot just because he is my enemy; I evaluate him for what he is. I don’t side with him, but if he has a quality or something to admire, I’ll say it. Another thing is to evaluate a person in full; for example, I might admire a person for having 123456 qualities, but if they’re a pedophile, then I find them disgusting. I recognize their qualities, but if they have one single flaw that is so great it overshadows the qualities, then I don’t like them. It’s a sort of mathematical average, like school grades. An 8 in religious studies doesn’t save you from a zero in Math; some subjects are more important than others, but there’s no single subject.

However, it should be noted (just to close the Zack discussion, since a much broader and serious conversation compared to the musical one is opening up) that he (Zack) does not claim to be a prophet, a soldier, or some liberating messiah. He considers himself (rightfully, in my opinion) merely a propaganda figure, promoting theories and associations, both humanitarian and military-rebel, that are usually discarded by the mass media. Just look at the books he features in the CDs, the websites he promotes in his albums, the images he uses in his videos, the things he shows in his DVDs. In the DVD of Battle Of Los Angeles, there are three-quarters of an hour of documentary on the political situation in Mexico, complete with interviews and footage. If he declared himself a militant, it would really bother me, but that's not the case. Tankian does it, Morello does it, and in fact, they both annoy me. When it comes to purely political discussions, I "get disappointed" because I find I agree with both the anonymous person and "but that’s right." However, at least it is very interesting :D (really, no sarcasm).

<<<oh no, fucking shit...no. Damn, if Zack is an admirer of Guevara, who was a convinced communist, it means he shares his thoughts, just as an admirer of Hitler cannot deny being a Nazi. Right? Even if someone were far-left, they should be anti-communist and therefore condemn Che, not admire him.>>> I admire Zack, I admire Che, but I don’t share their ideas. If you think for yourself, you understand that Che did what he did for the sake of good and didn’t know what he would end up facing. He was a rebel, not a political theologian. So just as I admire Che without sharing his political ideas, why couldn’t Zack? Another thing, the red stars that Zack wears are pro-Zapatista; if he were a communist as you claim, don’t you think he would put the sickle and hammer on? You keep shooting at nonexistent targets. Besides not knowing who you "accuse," you are too closed-minded; if for you it’s either red or black, then the discussion dies at the outset. If you start to consider the thousands of shades of gray, then we can talk. I repeat, I’m not saying he’s anti-communist; I’m just saying he has his own idea (and I repeat that I don’t share it because it’s utopian and unrealistic) of communism applied to current times (and that’s why it’s not purely “communist”); if you don’t know it, you can’t attack it, either read some of his things or you’ll keep shooting blanks into the water. :D

Yes, but Gwen, what does your speech have to do with the context? You’re confusing De La Rocha with System Of A Down; read their lyrics since you have the originals. It’s not that I disagree with you, I just don’t understand what you’re referring to; both you and the anonymous one are shooting at a nonexistent target.

<<<There is no absolute communism and relative communism, one red and one orange, one good and one bad... communism is only one and comes from the Marxist theories illustrated in "Das Kapital." Either you are a communist or you are an anticommunist; there can be no middle ground>>> Nonsense, I disagree, it's a pointless argument. Or are you perhaps fixated on the word "communist"? Fine, let's put it this way: Zack is not a communist, but rather far-left. Better? Can one be far-left without being bound by some book, or are there really no middle grounds? (Are you serious?)

I agree that the theory of absolute communism is complete nonsense and that all the places where it has been implemented are terrible, but respecting someone for their commitment doesn't mean agreeing with their ideas. I wrote a review; I didn't start his fan club, and I'm not even enlisted among the Zapatistas. Anyway, he doesn't have ideas of total communism (he always has science fiction visions that, in my opinion, are unachievable, but absolutely not pure communism), just to clarify that for the umpteenth time, you're shooting in the dark. You make valid points, but they don't hit the subject in question, so they're pointless.

I have no idea Moon, I've never seen the Gianduiotti Acid-Doom live :-(

If you're looking for a great live recording of Cobham, Hal reviewed it on de-b, really an outstanding album (it's divided into two parts, Hal reviewed the first one). In Japan with Ron Carter and Kenny Barron in December 2003, here---> Live In Japan 2003 - The Art of Three - Billy Cobham, Kenny Barron, Ron Carter - Recensione di Hal <-- Very classic as well, but a total blast.
