No no, this is just happier than the others, slightly different, and that’s what makes it another masterpiece. L.A. Woman was a return to acid in the desert, this is a hymn to drunken nights in the city, an EPOCHAL record. They proved they know how to make danceable tunes and sentimental ballads, they proved they can play, they made an album worthy of the name The Doors, so a full five without taking away even a sixteenth of a point. Then someone with the nickname "The Clash" giving a THREE to the Doors cracks me up, it’s like putting Strummer next to Morrison, and that amuses me.

Hip Hop doesn’t exist, let alone "modern" Hip Hop, and if "modern" Hip Hop did exist, you can bet that Eminem wouldn’t be part of it, since he plays the same shit that was played years ago. Also, I couldn’t care less about his marriage troubles; this album is a massive piece of crap, one of the biggest heaps of garbage I've ever heard, and I listened to it before it shot to the top of the charts, so there’s no bias (okay, maybe a bit of bias since Dre was involved) and it sucks, really. But above all, Hip Hop doesn’t exist, especially not modern Hip Hop.
