And that idiot, the MODERN MUSIC that that BLACK guy Miles Davis made, he can only dream about it, and wakes up all soaked with the excitement of producing SUCH GENIUS THINGS. But how the hell can he claim to be doing Modern Music, that idiot? Do you think he's sane? Modern? WHERE? Say what you want, but in my opinion, you're absolutely wrong to defend these guys.

Keep talking to me about lyrics, chords, songs... but who the hell cares about songs when there’s political-murderous propaganda that makes me sick, even if (as you say) it’s unintentional? Whether he did it with political intent or not, I couldn’t care less, because in the meantime he profited immensely from the false popular belief that he was a super-communist. How many CDs did he sell to super-communists who didn’t understand a damn thing about his music? Thousands, and this disgusts me; I don’t listen to something that disgusts me as a matter of principle. And listen, I’ve heard them, not all of them, but I’ve listened to the 5 or 6 most acclaimed by you, and they did nothing for me, neither hot nor cold. Emilia Paranoica, Morire, Io Sto Bene, Spara Juri... Damn, how many serious rap songs have you heard before saying they suck? Perhaps NOT EVEN ONE; raise your hand if you’ve heard the Indelible Mc's before trashing rap... I don’t think many hands would go up, yet you hate rap, and you haven’t heard a damn thing... and I can’t stand someone who makes acceptable music but then shoves a symbol of an ideal for which people were killed in my face? Understand me a little, for fuck's sake, in my opinion, you’re the ones making a mistake by taking these things lightly. You criticize Gore because there are dismembered people on the cover? Those Gore images are unrealizable, just look at Anal Cunt with the things posted earlier, while the hammer and sickle has harmed the entire world... and I should just accept it because “oh, but he used it in a certain way...” Bullshit, it remains CCCP-FEDELI ALLA LINEA. I am also FAITHFUL TO MY LINE, and this crap bothers me. If I owned the site, I would put a seven-page disclaimer on this review, and for the cover, I would do like Waco Jesus, I wouldn’t publish it, and if you want it, you can seek it out yourself, I wouldn’t put such filth on display. With this, I don’t mean that if the little people don’t do it, they’re gay; the little people can do whatever the hell they want, that’s clear. I’m just saying that I wouldn’t put them in that position. You are DENYING THE EVIDENCE THAT THAT SYMBOL REPRESENTS DEATH; that symbol disgusts me, and I don’t understand why it doesn't disgust you.

Here, now I have time and I’ll explain myself in one place: This is a matter of principle for me. I don't listen to things wrapped in brands that represent political regimes and/or dictatorships. If the Area were called CCCP, I would have missed them, and I would be happy about it. My reasoning is not unionesovietica=mortidifame=s talinismo but Unione Sovietica = Regime = Crap. I don't like it, I don't like it, I don't like it. You keep talking about Ferretti's lyrics, but I don't give a damn about Ferretti's lyrics, I really don't care at all, he messes up from the start and I don't care if he redeems himself later: His image, his name, come before his lyrics. He markets that brand by making records, then they become popular and therefore the records are still in stores, and it pisses me off to walk into CD shops and see a nice CCCP with the Hammer & Sickle instead of Cannibal Ox; it really grinds my gears. I couldn't care less about what they do because I fundamentally do not tolerate the use of such symbols, I do not tolerate what they represent, and I can't help but think that he uses it to sell, so it's double disgust because it's a commercial move using a sickle and hammer instead of tits and asses along with a pro-Soviet punk. To me, punk as a concept is annoying, I don't like punk philosophy one bit. I don’t like Soviet philosophy, not at all. How can I listen to something like that and overlook my principles for a damn record? I won't overlook them: tons of crap. They could make the best music in the world, tons of crap just the same. Music is a pastime, a passion, but politics is serious business and so I won't bring a record with CCCP on it into my house; it disgusts me. Does he think like me? Great, I invite him for dinner, but if he brings a CCCP record, it won't enter my house. It was a regime that killed people, the damn infamous frog, it was a regime that killed innocent people, it was a fucking regime, it killed and tortured, killed and tortured, killed and tortured... and you come to tell me "well, but it's used in a particular way"... I don’t give a damn about that, nothing related to sickles, hammers, and swastikas will ever enter my house or my ears again. I couldn’t care less about talking about Togliatti, I know who he was, he disgusts me, period. I know what Nazism was, it disgusts me, period. I know what communism was, it disgusts me, period, I don't want any more of it, I couldn’t care less but not in the sense of "who cares," exactly because I do care, I hope it gets buried. But damn it, are you guys overlooking a blood-soaked brand for 4 damn songs? The world is full of beautiful records, but beautiful ones, and without bloody brands on top. And I reiterate for the umpteenth time, no one assures me that this person didn't really believe in it. You say this guy is very intelligent, good, since he's intelligent, couldn’t he be fooling you all? Damn Henry Rollins... super macho... super songs about chicks... he gets it in the ass, he loves the dick, and he's fooled us all, so no one can stop me from thinking that this Ferretti does the same. But above all, under the symbol of the hammer and sickle, they killed and tortured, killed and tortured, killed and tortured, killed and tortured, killed and tortured, killed and tortured, killed and tortured, killed and tortured, killed and tortured, and you come to tell me to not care because it’s just another symbol? For me, it’s not just another symbol, I would have kicked it in the face for months and months, it's not just another symbol. I don’t listen to these guys, damn it, I can't stand seeing CCCP-Fedeli Alla Linea - 01 - Morire on my Walkman, it doesn't exist. Or seeing CCCP among my music folders alongside Can and Celestial Season. NO, I want to see Can followed by Celestial Season, no fucking CCCP. And why? (Come on, everyone together now!) Because under the symbol of the hammer and sickle they killed and tortured, killed and tortured, killed and tortu

But what you say is absolutely right. It's a shame he claims to be tired of this and that, and that he makes modern European music... come on, he’s said a mountain of nonsense from a MUSICAL standpoint, he sounds like Vrensis, damn it... MODERN EUROPEAN MUSIC? And how many "mafacciunpompone!" do we have to say at the end of his speech to counter the huge series of bullshit he’s thrown out? (Still, from a musical standpoint, I have to admit his socio-political discourse holds up; it’s a pity that with that name and that logo, I don’t really trust his sincerity, especially thinking of someone who grew up in '70s Bologna.)

European influences on a record that is clearly American in style. In other words, he's talking nonsense, ergo he's an idiot, so he doesn't deserve to be listened to. Besides the fact that I hate even more the publicity surrounding that name and that logo.

How do you make those words your own, music-wise ajaje? European Modern Music a Punk record?
Voto:
European Modern Music were Neu! 10 years earlier, these are four idiots who chose a name to get attention, otherwise by now they would have sold 4 records, exaggerating. With that European Modern Music I had the final blow, I don't even listen to C.S.I. anymore, this Ferretti is a fool.

There's already a certain "nonsò" above that calls me a little fascist just because I'm not a hard-core communist and red to death, and more will come. Nice group, nice movement represented by that name, nice things said in the interview posted by kosmo, really everything very nice. But I'll listen to it right away, right away. European modern music? EH? What the hell is he saying? EUROPEAN modern music? But the Stooges were from Los Angeles! What the hell is he talking about? Just because the Stooges didn’t claim to be punk, they aren’t? How stupid is this Ferretti? ... and I should listen to this?

Have you ever heard the saying "for better or for worse... as long as it gets talked about"? What are we discussing here? Isn't this already propaganda? ...Are you sure? Four of you are telling me that politics has nothing to do with this, and I almost believe you, but the fact remains that as proof of the fact that these guys led to discussions about communism, there’s this review. 80,000 political comments, and we're talking about communism. All thanks to their name, the logos they carried, and various crap. But do you really want me to believe that you would have reacted the same way to a group called NaziFascioEuropeo that had a swastika and a fascio in its logo and was labeled underneath "Emilian folk music punkfilonazi" while discussing the issues of the elderly and teenage acne in their lyrics? I don’t believe that for a second; you would have reacted poorly, as is right, and it's right to react poorly to these guys. Now in this rec, there are only adults who have delved into the issues; wait till the old-school supercommunists come to praise this thing, and then reconsider the positive and negative effects of this nice group name, this album, this logo.
